The question of who is a pure Somali is eloquently answered in this book.👇
“Rivalry between and within tribal groups is pronounced, and the Darood/Isaaq contention is notorious. In much of Somaliland, identity-based on confederacy, tribe, clan and sub-clan is everything.
The largely Isaaq inhabitants of Somaliland retain these features of all Somalis to the highest degree. It was through Somaliland that the Somalis were Arabicized – the process more complete in the North than in the South – and it is here that the tombs of the clan founders are found.[16] As a consequence, Northerners and Isaaqs are considered by other Somalis to be more ‘belligerent, less law-abiding, arrogant, [and] destructive. Here, a man without cattle is nothing. Here, fighting is really the only other widely accepted male role’.[17] This is just to say that Somalilanders are held to be more typically ‘Somali’, for good and bad, than their kinsmen elsewhere.”

2026 Somaliland controlled territories
1 - over 90% of Somaliland population is under Somaliland rule
2- Somaliland controls the capital of Sanaag and its key areas.
3- No control over eastern Sool
The areas outside Somaliland’s control are among the least inhabited, roughly 5% of the population, with almost no geopolitical value. They also sit next to lawless Somalia and piracy zones.
These areas are known for switching back and forth between Somaliland and Puntland Somalia.
This is a local issue, driven by narrow, low-level clan rivalry.
Somaliland is smart not to be dragged into a pointless war over these areas. Nevertheless, it should build strong defences there. At the same time, Somaliland has already shown that it can return these lands through peaceful political and community processes.
With more international recognition, we should expect even towns inside Puntland to consider joining Somaliland; let alone these eastern towns that already fall within Somaliland’s historic and legal boundaries.
This issue is mostly used to tease Somaliland. To distract Somaliland progress. It does not feature seriously in the analysis of any serious observer.
Fun fact: British Somaliland also did not control some of these areas for much of its existence. That did not weaken the legality or international legitimacy of British Somaliland then, and it does not weaken the Republic of Somaliland now

@9kzflm @Saed_Moumin They won’t because they have no land there idoor for a reason

@Saed_Moumin I’m glad you’re well aware of our dislike. Now please go do something about it and build a wall between us

He demonstrated the scenario of an enemy operating from inside.
As a Somalilander, how can I distinguish between a Darood and a fake Somalilander by pretending to support the Waddani party? Let me explain: the game he’s playing is to have all his posts supported by the hardcore Waddani party with insults against Bixi, including Habr Awal, at every opportunity.
Ultimately, my view is that he’s a hopeless case.
The Dhulbahante people are more honest in their outright dislike for Somaliland than this individual is. They are at the gate of Oog town, posing less of a threat to the Somaliland military base. This person circulates with ease among space room X of Habr Jeclo and Habr Yonis as the hardcore present ruling party, his subtle insinuations as well his hatred for Habr Awal permeating every of their space rooms as well as the hardcore enemies of Somaliland rooms “Darood” and echoing in every nook and cranny with his deep seated against the totality of Habr Awal.

I hope Abdiweli Gaas runs for President in 2027 🇸🇴.
The former State Govenor of Puntland made significant progress during his time in office. He did not fight wars or attempt to cling to power, nor did he send militias to destabilize Mogadishu, unlike what many accuse Deni of doing during Farmaajo’s administration.
Abdiweli Gaas started from the bottom and worked his way up through dedication and experience. He is also not seen as being loyal to any foreign country.
This is the man who helped build roads, airports, and ports in Puntland, and then left office without destroying the institutions he helped develop.
This is the type of leader we need someone with experience, courage, and a commitment to remain in the country and face its challenges instead of taking vacations abroad during difficult times.
In my view, figures such as Sharif, Farmaajo, Deni, Ahmed Madoobe, and Khaire have contributed to political divisions and instability. Their own regions continue to struggle with insecurity, foreign ATMIS presence, and a lack of unity and development.

I propose changes to several government agencies.
These recommendations are based mainly on national security concerns. Somalia has developed police and military structures that are very similar to those of Somaliland.
In addition, Somaliland should maintain a currency that is clearly different from the Somalia, in order to strengthen its independence, security, and national identity.

It’s simply will. We have the capacity to do it. No one can say that we can’t. It’s just unfortunate that greed is the order of the day and has been for decades

Former President @M_Farmaajo, why don't you come over to my house tomorrow at 4:30 PM so we can have some coffee, Malabaani food 😂and a long chat?
You seem to assume everyone has as much free time on their hands as you do nowadays.
President @HassanSMohamud is busy running a country and dealing with matters that actually affect the Somali people. Try not to waste his time.
Insha'Allah, I'll see you tomorrow at 4:30 PM.
Don't disappoint me.
