Turkish drones appeared in residential districts. Turkish intelligence arrived to mediate. And the reason Turkey needs him in that palace is a monopoly oil deal signed secretly, never shown to parliament, covering Somalia's entire offshore reserves. Somali senators called it fraudulent. I hope Abdiweli Gaas runs for President in 2027 🇸🇴. The former State Govenor of Puntland made significant progress during his time in office. He did not fight wars or attempt to cling to power, nor did he send militias to destabilize Mogadishu, unlike what many accuse Deni of doing during Farmaajo’s administration. Abdiweli Gaas started from the bottom and worked his way up through dedication and experience. He is also not seen as being loyal to any foreign country. This is the man who helped build roads, airports, and ports in Puntland, and then left office without destroying the institutions he helped develop. This is the type of leader we need someone with experience, courage, and a commitment to remain in the country and face its challenges instead of taking vacations abroad during difficult times. In my view, figures such as Sharif, Farmaajo, Deni, Ahmed Madoobe, and Khaire have contributed to political divisions and instability. Their own regions continue to struggle with insecurity, foreign ATMIS presence, and a lack of unity and development. How can you fix someone else’s house when your own house is on fire?

He stated that the Somali National Army's objective is to extend state authority from the south to the far north of the country. He added that cities such as Hargeisa and Berbera will eventually see the presence of Somali national forces as part of efforts to restore order, stability, and state authority throughout Somalia. Ambassador Abdullah stated that Somalia today is fundamentally different from the Somalia of the 1990s. He noted that the country has emerged from the civil wars that once devastated it and now has a functioning central government and a capable national army working to extend state authority and maintain stability across the country. He also highlighted Somalia’s growing international role, pointing out that the country serves on both the African Union Peace and Security Council and the United Nations Security Council.
