@samyam_youtube Probably a misunderstanding on game economics and also a change on how games are developed. Right now not only live service games offer frequent updates but there's also many games that come out unfinished and keep the updates for much longer than before.

@moulinauxbulles I wouldn't worry. Most people who saw that post are devs, not necessarily your target audience. And even if someone makes the connection it probably won't change their decision to buy it. If that price feels right for your game, just go with it

@JulianJBall It depends on what you say along with that, if you go telling people "never try to make something big" that's bad advice. If you say "Hey, try making small games first to know what you are capable of and then go for something bigger" that's something I can agree with.

Godot is awesome. Find the right engine to suit your needs, I totally agree. However, I fucking hate it when devs package in "don't shoot for the stars you'll never make it" as footnotes in their advice. I literally made the open-world ARPG I was dreaming of into a commercial success, starting as a novice solo dev, and launching with a 2-3 person dev team. I built my entire life and game dev career off the back of it. Len's Island is an utterly massive project, way beyond the scope that people advise is possible. I'm very glad I didn't listen to advice like this, I see it everywhere. Don't kill ideas before they are even attempted. Spread motivation and enthusiasm, let people figure out the details and learn for themselves.

Godot engine is limited. People are frustrated by this fact because the engine can't do everything. "You can't create your dream game" They say. But this is not the game dev mindset. Technology has always been limited since the days games were written in assembly. Game dev is not limitless potential it never was, it's asking yourself: what can I do with my limited resources within the limits of technology, not the other way around. Simplicity is good, Limitation is good, embrace them. BTW, you're never going to make that open world RPG you're dreaming of anyway.

@cianmaher0 I really want to know how game made. From scratch to final product. The harmony of different division (Artist, Designer, Progammer, Audio, Narrative, Marketing, Tester, Enginer Executive, Publisher).. If there is a video explain all of that with a nice animation or documentary
