I had so much fun serving as a judge for @RiceUniversity student #Health Hackathon this weekend! I’m so impressed by how smart, confident & sophisticated these health policy pitches were - and developed over a 36 hour grueling period! These young people are so talented!

I found my surgical twin (separated by 2 decades 🤣)! My awesome @BCM_Surgery resident @LubnaKh_ is also an @OregonState & @OHSUSOM @OHSUNews alumni like me! So proud of Dr Khan! What a small world! Who’d guess 2 girls from Oregon would end up operating together in Texas! ❤️

As a kid growing up I remember watching Bill Moyers on @PBS. Several years ago, I had the chance to meet Bill via @PLSprogram, and he surprised me with his book, inscribed with the kindest comment. I’ve treasured his words. He was such a class act - so genuinely kind & inspiring.

This #MemorialDay, and everyday, I’m so grateful for the men &women who’ve sacrificed for our nation and our freedom. I am honored to work alongside incredible nurses, techs, doctors and so many other team members who work tirelessly to serve our nation’s #veterans.

Phenomenal session on world leadership by Secretary Gates at @EF_Fellows meeting! I had the opportunity to talk with Secretary Gates about lessons for leading locally. Truly grateful for the Eisenhower Fellows program and the opportunity to learn from world leaders!

Such an amazing time at the @EF_Fellows graduation last night! Grateful for this transformative experience- I spent my Eisenhower Fellowship hiking the Great Wall of China, lecturing at the top medical schools in Beijing and Shanghai & collaborating with AI experts in healthcare!
