Pretty good day for @stjamesfb …6x3 at 80% chasing .80 peak velocity…with last two sets being PUSH sets where we ditched the 80% and went after a MEAN velocity of 0.4 m/s… Had a few guys have to grind a bit at the end but the energy was next level…no WAY I have them back off By the way we had one dude over 225 on bench two months ago!! @StJamesFB @scagle12 @VitruveFit @clh_strength

We are a sprint based football program. Feeding the Cats by stacking performance level reps at the highest outputs we can find every session. Part of that is small sided games where we manipulate field size, players involved and other restraints. We didn’t record the 10x10 3v3 games or some of the other things we did on field. I wish we’d have worn GPS! Lucky for me I’ve had that AND heart rate monitors on athletes in these situations countless times. I don’t have to guess or program random running with no other human or eye tracking involved. Just perform at the highest level possible and stack em! No need to worry about intent in this situation! @scagle12 @StJamesFB @pntrack @coachbdixon @Coach_TL #SprintBasedFootball

So a handful of our @StJamesFB guys ale come to me a couple times a week at the facility. Want to see the @SHREDmillSpeed impact? The only thing we do at my facility since they train at school? SHREDmill G2 and G3, OHM walks at 0.1 and OHM runs at 3 and 6. These guys have all went from 8-9 mph G2 and 11-13 G3 to 10.5-11.5 and 13-16 G3 If anyone tells you this isn’t an elite tool to impact performance? Smile, nod and slowly back away. 🤣🤣🤷♂️@Tony_Villani_

Of course the guys who go fast an jump far get lots of attention on social… I really want to point out one of my favorite dudes…BIG Judah Harper OT 6-4 plus, 320 or so…. Monday literally ran up to me and said “Coach I jumped over 20!!” March 16 15.32 vertical…April 20 whatever 20.58! Look at his other XPE qualities? 5-10? 1.77 to 1.58 20-10? 1.35 to 1.28 broad jump? 4 foot 6 inch to 6’3 Projected 40?? 6.74 to 6.24 with an outer goal of 5.94 Proud of you big boy!! @StJamesFB @scagle12

Small things for @StJamesFB giving indications of bigger changes… Asked who can touch rim after our warm up Monday…had 3-4 guys step up. Started calling out guys who I knew had improved…they said “I can’t!” Told them try. First kid nailed it..looked around in shock. Next thing I know kids are in line and touching and grabbing rim on a 10 foot hoop. Lost count. Had a guy who is about 5-7 grab rim and walk over to me and say “Thank you Coach. I’ve never even been close”. Every once in a while I say “man at some point I need to stop doing team stuff…it’s hard work…” Then you look around and you realize the positive impact you can have on a huge amount of young people…and I say “no way…let’s GO!” @scagle12

A lot of great things happening today during @StJamesFB class…this was ranked #1. We were running 5/10 in the hallway. Popped my head out toward the end and I see my guy JuJu teaching another guy how to get into a low shin position and push, telling him to rip his arms…my dude is in a boot and can’t sprint. Out there coaching up his teammates. #Compelled @scagle12

Leaders Broad Jumps for @StJamesFB 1. Owen Cisne 9’7 2. Iziah Bazel 9’5 3. Jonathan Mason 9’5 4. Korey Young 9’5 5. Tyler Clark 9’5 6. Billy Bain 9’3 7. Chase Cole 9’3 8. Jordan Gohn 9’2 9. Brewer Adams 9’1 10. Jordan Grant 9’0 11. Tripp Roberts 9’0 From 5 over 8 feet and 0 at 9 on March 4th…@scagle12

Been cool to see our guys want to compete! Walked out to see the static triple broad jumps and the guys had lined up seeing who could get the furthest in 3 jumps.
