@FarabaughFB From a scouting perspective, yes. But that’s not how coaches think. Coaches can teach the footwork, the decision making, the processing. They can’t teach you how to throw the ball farther or faster.

Fwiw, y’all know I wasn’t a huge fan of Allar’s tape at all but the notion that he didn’t bring leadership is pretty unfounded from everything I’ve explored.
Coaches, players, his teammates, scouts, etc. all raved about him as a locker room leader who was a tireless worker.

I also did find it interesting that when I when I talked to some of these people, the range was 75-125, which is a large range, but Allar got taken 76th by the Steelers, so it wasn't out of the realm of expectations around the league for him to go off the board that early.

Forgot to post this -- I talked to some people around the NFL before the NFL Draft about Drew Allar and what they thought about the now Steelers QB.
He was a polarizing player, with traits you'd like to bet on and plays that left them asking 'why'?

Many of the comments underneath this are boiling down to the idea that you basically shouldn’t do draft analysis or have well-formed opinions which is incredibly disingenuous, with all due respect to everyone.

The #Steelers first three draft classes under Omar Khan were very well regarded, mostly because of his ability to move around the board to find value while meeting the team's needs. That all went out the window in 2026, as the team left a ton of value on the table in an underwhelming draft class. steelersnow.com/saunders-steel…

Alright, here's part of my opinion -- I think even if you like Iheanachor the player (I think there's a lot to like), I don't like the process of sitting on your hands if Lemon was your guy like it appears to be. A top player falls, WR teams lurking. You knew that was possible.
