Youth baseball players need to hear this: You will work hard at something and still not reach your goal. That is part of the game and part of life. A team, a roster spot, or a label for one season does not define who you are as a player. The players who succeed long term are the ones who respond the right way. Stay positive. Keep working. Be a great teammate. Be a leader. Development is rarely a straight line, especially when players are still growing physically. Your time will come if you stay committed to the process.

Just the tip of the iceberg regarding serious concerns with @MSHSL governance and decision-making. Under the leadership of Bob Madison, the League is facing growing scrutiny over actions and public statements that raise legitimate questions about professionalism, transparency, and conflicts of interest—including oversight of eligibility matters while having a son competing at Mounds View High School. Most concerning is the League’s recent position on homeschool athlete eligibility, despite: • Eligibility determinations already affirmed by district attorneys • Clear authority of the Minnesota Department of Education • Guidance from the HBEA • Minnesota state statutes protecting homeschool families At what point does @MSHSL stop overreaching beyond its scope and start focusing on its actual responsibility—serving student-athletes? Two immediate areas that demand action: 1️⃣ Player safety: Adopt and enforce the Pitch Smart model statewide. Allowing pitchers to exceed 200+ pitches over a few days (which occurred last season) is unacceptable. 2️⃣ Competitive integrity: Enforce residency rules consistently and crack down on fraudulent addresses used to stack “super teams” across all sports. Student-athletes deserve leadership focused on fairness, safety, and development—not politics or selective enforcement. @MSHSBCA @StarTribune @KSTP @kare11 @WCCO @FOX9 @AlphaNews

2028 OF Beau Cazin (MN) plays with his hair on fire at all times. Hammers this down the RF line (93 EV) and legs out the hustle triple to kick off the championship game at #PBCup25. Excellent separation at the plate and leverage through the zone with present feel for the barrel in a lean, athletic 6-foot, 175-pound frame. @PrepBaseballMN @SpectsBaseball @ShooterHunt

OF Beau Cazin (Blaine, 2028) unleashes on this one for a 99 mph home run. Plenty of present bat-strength with more to come in his 6-foot, 175-pound frame. No. 5 in @PrepBaseballMN. #PBCup25 | @ShooterHunt
