Another great night of softball on The Hill! We swept Wilson Central with an 8-1 JV Win, and a 10-6 Varsity Win! I went 2/4 with a Triple, 2 RBI’s and 2 Runs Scored!! You have to believe in the process first, and then trust in the process. Anything you do is going to have setbacks. Are you confident enough in yourself and the process to stay the course? Or do you freak out and change everything? The great ones stay calm, cool and collected. They evaluate the big picture, but they trust in their process. They don’t make wholesale changes for the sake of making changes. They know it’s the small, consistent wins everyday that will build momentum and eventually pay off in big ways. When setbacks happen, stay the course. Trust in the process. Get back to work. Stay committed to the little habits that lead to success. Remain confident in the process, knowing it will pay off. “So let’s not grow tired of doing what is good. I was a Division 1 Academic All-American catcher That means I was pretty good, but not great Which also means I played bad Probably a lot But here’s the weird thing… I played my last competitive game 40 years ago And as I’ve gotten further away from my playing days, I don’t remember ever playing bad I remember the hits, the homers, the great plays I remember the thrilling wins and the heartbreaking losses. But I don’t remember the bad plays I know I made them I just don’t remember them It’s like when you’re done with your career, baseball pats you on the back on the way out and says: “Hey. You had a nice run. Listen, no one ever really WINS this journey, but you gave it everything you had. As a parting gift, we’re going to make it so you never remember the bad plays Only the good ones And the relationships" The friends you made along the way There’s a message there for today’s players: Get over the bad stuff quickly You won’t remember it anyway Celebrate the great moments They’ll stay with you the rest of your life And absolutely CHERISH the relationships Those will live on forever

Matt Campbell just revealed something about Penn State football that nobody is talking about enough. Morning practices. Here's why it matters. In 2021 Campbell went back to afternoon practices at Iowa State after seeing morning practices work during COVID. His exact words this morning: "We slipped academically and we slipped with our production. It was a major mistake on my end." A Power Four head coach publicly admitting a mistake. That alone tells you who this man is. He went back to morning practices. Here's what happened. Team GPA hit 3.4 in the three fall semesters that followed. Injuries decreased significantly. Players got breakfast before practice. Lunch after. Reconnected with coaches at dinner every night. 480 pounds added across the roster in eight weeks this winter. Campbell credited breakfast and dinner accountability directly. Penn State runs morning practices now. The details of how a program operates day to day matter more than any single recruiting class. This is one of those details. We Are. 🦁

Introducing the Patterson Plumbing Player of the Week: Green Hill senior Avary Stockwell Stockwell went 7-for-8 with 3 HR's and 13 RBIs in four games this past week for the Hawks. The UT signee recorded a 2.500 slugging percentage, drew four walks and stole two bases.
