I've finally released my first open source package PhoneNumberKitSwiftUI, it's a SwiftUI Textfield for phone numbers that updates the formatting as the number is typed using the popular PhoneNumberKit package. Special thanks to @fatbobman for his blogs which helped me achieve this.

Starting with iOS 27, we can actually convert a tab bar to a sidebar. A new modifier was introduced to do this. “.defaultTabBarPlacement(.sidebar)” As of current testing, this seems to work on iPhones as well when the app is in landscape mode. This is the same behavior used in the iPhone Health app, where the tab bar converts into a sidebar in landscape mode!

i caved and finally bought a new magic mouse mind you, i was still using the first version with AA batteries but the bluetooth has become so unreliable… i guess i'll have to get used to charging my mouse through its butt like civilized people.

@mweinbach @neilcybart Interesting. I thought mine was still indexing cause my phone hasn’t been plugged in and not being used most of the week. I got Siri in the first batch (around an hour after the betas dropped) and my mail indexing completed like 2 days ago.

It did not, but I've been playing with Xcode and building apps with intents and entities to get Siri to use it I did notice that the indexing service was refusing the app at one point and needed a reboot to start. I think maybe the indexing service may be crashing? I've been rebooting every few hours because that seems to help

Updated to iOS 27. Went to try Siri. Didn’t see any changes. Eventually realized I’m still back at indexing.
