Apparently, it needs more vibe for the coding

my mom, in her 70s, is currently in Vietnam with 3 women she met on Facebook. And i feel like a parent of a teenager who went abroad with friends. I keep asking for updates and all i get are 3 words and a bunch of random photos of them laughing on a boat on the Mekong 🙃

i was told that with enough experience you eventually reach a point where you don't have to constantly justify yourself or argue with people. starting to suspect that was a lie.

@chalaska so true. adding to information architecture: solid behavioral recommendations. working on AI products, I quickly learned you cannot rely on llm natural behavior and if you don't design them intentionally for your product, you end up with an inconsistent and painful experience

The design skill that matters most for AI products isn't visual design or interaction design. It's information architecture. When the content is dynamic and unpredictable, structure is everything.

I work with AI all day long to code, to create tasks, automate things... but there is one sacred place where I can create and it's just my brain, my imagination, a text editor and wordhippo.com and honestly, it's become my brain workout.

speech-to-AI in open spaces is the new mechanical keyboard: - technically productive - socially annoying af - and they always have to explain "it's so much better"

@kylegalbraith The ship fast break thing mentality wasn't meant to delegate thinking, strategy and decisions to LLMs. And honestly, I think this is what's going on.

It's really starting to feel like some of these AI tools, like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and others, are all starting to crack a bit under their own weight. I'm not clear if this is because they've all been built by dogfooding themselves (i.e. they were birthed from a vibe code session). Or if it's just the price to be paid for a product category that has never before seen an adoption curve as steep as this one. No matter the reason, they all seem to be shipping shittier things as of late. Like bug-ridden things or things with terrible performance or shipping features that make it impossible to find your previous workflow. I love that we can move this fast, and I love how powerful these tools are. But someone needs to wake them up and tell them they still have human users on the other side that they should spend a little more time thinking about.

I'm pretty convinced that Cursor works better when I add "Do you think it's possible?" after describing something completely unhinge.
