Rent is $1,900. I have $4,000 in savings. I didn't say anything. I passed the rolls. But here's what i wanted to say: Your pension was defunded by lobbyists your generation elected. Your social security is solvent because mine is still paying in. Your houseis worth $800,000 because mine costs $600,000. You didn't build differently. You just got there first.

@TContrapasso @skumWgmi Right. Every currency loses value yearly. But I believe it is then left to policy, and what you decide to do about it. The US is one of the only developed nations that does not implement safeguards against inflation and cost of living. In my opinion, that needs to change.

@KenJH01 @skumWgmi Inflation and the devaluation of our fiat currency - the dollar - are the same thing. You are correct about wages, though. Our wages must match the inflation annually, or we won’t be able to keep up.

@TContrapasso @skumWgmi I may be wrong in my thinking, but is it the dollar that is becoming worthless, or is it that inflation has taken control? I believe the real problem is that wages have not kept up with the prices of living.

Well 2026… another plot twist. My breast cancer has spread to my bones (stage 4). New treatment plan, same determination. I’m choosing hope and living fully. And honestly, if the New York Yankees could make the World Series, that would really improve my year😅⚾
