@pandafresh @InsiderGamingIG It really reads like they noticed their gameplay loop is adjacent, and quickly ctrl+f'd Getaway to Extraction to position themself on trend.

@Drewader @PaulTassi @RyGilliam If they dropped the new game and still didn't go back to the old one, sounds like they were ready to move on no matter what they picked next, no?

@Talanaes @PaulTassi @RyGilliam Marathon was a Major game releases. A Major game that fell flat and died in its first month. It can still be used to explain why player counts dropped for another game. People tried it. It sucked. It died. People going to try it could contribute to player count drop. #logic

@dstnprkr @andruyeung And I don't want to say you need alcohol to discuss philosphy, but I doubt you're getting anyone as interesting at those events as the old guy in the corner of the right kind of dive.

Nightlife in nyc is shifting from alcohol-induced socializing to activities that combine connection with intellectual interest. Out: clubbing, drinking games, bars without themes. In: lectures at bars, philosophy clubs, board game nights, reading meetups. Gen Z'ers are paying $40 a ticket to attend these things. Someone is going to build a massive platform aggregating these activities for the next generation.

@chasecrossbass @andruyeung We're mostly aghast that ya'll are going out and spending $40 to do the shit we'd get together with our friends to do for free when nobody wanted to spend money.

The fact that this post is receiving so much hate from millennials and Gen Xers continues to illustrate how crazy out of touch these people are with Gen Z. People are utterly exhausted with the constant overstimulation, the despair culture, the lack of social/cultural institutions that existed for their parents and then were recklessly cast aside by the generations before us. This is not some lib Cali kids spending time in NYC, this is a phenomenon taking place across the country as a result of people trying to form real relationships with hobbies that feel real, substantive and in some cases educational Look at the mass influx of Gen Zers entering the Catholic Church in nyc, how exactly do you think they spend their weekends? Getting fried before mass?

@halogen1048576 @KarolusWangus Everyone's already digging in on everything else wrong with your statement, so I'll just add: you know teachers don't determine what classes you have to take, right?

@KarolusWangus Being forced to languish in obviouslys unnecessary classes under insecure and deeply inadequate woman and fag teachers who lied about everything constantly basically derailed my life irrevocably. Schoolteachers all belong in Holocaust camps.

@THawkMedia @PaulTassi @RyGilliam I've played less than 10 hours of plenty of games with potentially hundreds of hours of content. Just having content doesn't mean people will stay engaged with it.

@PaulTassi @RyGilliam Ok that feels disingenuous. Crimson Desert is a singleplayer open-world sandbox packed full of shit. It retaining a large quantity of players is not a feat; the game just has more content, thus the longer retention

@PaulTassi @RyGilliam Nothing sudden about this trend. Especially with Major game releases that occurred after January 1st. It’s stupid to even use the term ‘Suddenly’. And not even mention that games like Resident Evil, Crimson Desert, Slay the Spire, and the dead game Marathon were released.

the interviewer being hotter than him
FearBuck@FearedBuck

Clavicular walks out of 60 Minutes interview after being asked if he is an incel and about his relationship with Andrew Tate. Clavicular: “Do I identify as an Incel? I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow up after you asked me about my relationships to women. I mean, that's quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I've ever heard.” 60 Minutes: “Let me rephrase then. Looksmaxxing was obviously a term created by the Incel community. How do you feel about being linked to that group.” Clavicular: “I'm not linked to that group in any way. Looksmaxxing is self improvement, right? So it's about potentially even ascending out of that category. So that would be kind of one of the goals is to disassociate from being an incel and overcome that. So that doesn't make sense.” 60 Minutes: “You've been seen with certain people who are from all parts of that world. I mean, just as an example, you've obviously shared company with Andrew Tate and other, dare I say, rather controversial figures. Why do you spend time with people like that?” Clavicular: “I see you want to make this political… I guess you watched the Piers Interview. too bad I didn't have time to look into, you know, anything about potentially, you know who your wife cheated with.” 60 Minutes: “I’m not married Clav.” Clavicular: “So I could teach you about looksmaxxing, and then maybe you could switch that up. Thanks for the time, appreciate the interview.” (youtu.be/CXKCoFz3WRs?si…)

This tweet has over 200k likes and claims the teenager was drinking “multiple” energy drinks per day. Other tweets say “six” per day. In reality, someone completely made that up and there is no credible source. What credible reporting actually says: - She regularly drank about one energy drink per day leading up to her death (it led to cumulative stress on her heart). - Her lawyer explicitly said it wasn’t a case of drinking a large number in one sitting. It was ongoing consumption over time. - The case is being framed around long-term caffeine exposure, not just one extreme binge/six cans. So where did the six cans per day claim come from? I guess we’ll never know. But what we know is that people have now used this lie to say “she and her parents deserved it for being dumb” in all kinds of ways.
Miss Sandrist@foreverimbetter

So a teenager was drinking multiple energy drinks a day and died so the family is suing the energy drink company? Are parents ever gonna realize that parenting is their job?

@Talanaes @__schizo_ @Alonso_GD What's Cable Access? I am comparing YT to Cable TV. Capitalism works because the price goes down and the quality goes up. State intervention (such as copyright law or expansionary fiscal policy) pushes the price up and the quality down.

@celinekim218 Listen I think avatar studios needs to dip out of paramount, find another distributor, these other distributors see the fanbase, they have too.. it would be really cool if avatar studios had their own, where instead of streaming, they can actually release there own merch

@WeLoveTGAMM @Radrappy As much as I love to be conspiratorial about rich fucks, the current push relies on "Think of the kids" to push the poison pill in a way that "Think of the copyrights" wouldn't. I think it's more likely that they're just the regular kind of exec dumb.

@Radrappy I think it’s on purpose, rich CEOs want an excuse to ID everyone online, they’ll cite this widespread “leak” as an example of why they “need ID” for every user on social media to go after people who breach their copyright.

We live in the absolute goofiest timeline where Glitch, an independent animation studio, is about to make millions at the box office, while Paramount - an 100year old studio yanked a sure fire financial hit from theaters only to have it leak on twitter 6months before release.

"Blaming Geese for hiring a TikTok marketing firm is like blaming a cereal brand for paying for shelf space at eye level. Every supermarket charges for placement, and it means the brand with less money ends up on the bottom shelf. That's a legitimate problem, but the answer is to fix how shelves work, not to accuse Cheerios of fraud." consequence.net/2026/04/geese-…
