→ Losses are true, but Bulls were NOT favored in ’89 or ’90. Pistons were defending champs and preseason favorites. Bulls were young and getting physically destroyed by the “Jordan Rules.” • “Jordan lobbied for rule changes so he couldn’t be defended”
→ Pure myth. The major hand-checking restrictions came in 2004-05 — long after MJ retired. The 90s were the most physical era ever; MJ won his first 3-peat before any meaningful rule easing. • “Without those changes he’s a 44% shooter, 20% from 3, 4-6 turnovers”
