For baseball nerds like me, this is the problem I have with the ABS system coming to MLB. It was a strike when it crossed the plate. And was correctly called. But by time catcher caught it, looked low. ABS challenge system will call it a ball. I say let the umps call it. FWIW.

You might not like where I’m going with this, but I fully respect and accept the FIA’s decision 👍 The last time I remember a Grand Prix got removed from the calendar was after Russia launched the invasion of Ukraine. Now we’re witnessing two Grands Prix being cancelled. One of them ( Bahrain ) a peaceful and beautiful country in the GCC, caught in the middle of regional tensions. The other ( Jeddah ) far from conflict but due to logistical challenges linked to the same situation. It raises a fair question about consistency in how global sporting bodies respond to geopolitical conflicts. Some nations see sporting sanctions and event cancellations, while others seem to face little pressure despite their involvement in conflicts around the world. This isn’t directed at the American people. It’s directed at the policymakers who shape these disastrous decisions despite all the warnings. Just something worth reflecting on
