Isn’t it strange how many govt facts change over time. Views are my own & subject to change on a whim or decent factual evidence

Ah… remember we were told the new anti-Muslim hostility guidelines would not stifle free speech? I don’t think that’s true. Political speech and criticism of religion are among our most protected freedoms under UK law. Those legal protections still apply. BUT if even a Shadow Cabinet Minister can have serious official complaints raised against him for a tweet criticising a public event, imagine what happens to the average citizen at work, in private WhatsApp groups, or even in the pub. In my opinion this guidance will be used as a blasphemy law in all but name, and influential groups & institutions will use it exactly that way, to shut down criticism or comments about Islam, they don’t like. As anonymity on social media platforms is about to be scrapped, people will be terrified to voice real concerns and they will not have the protections of an MP. Be very worried.
Nick Timothy MP@NJ_Timothy

This Labour MP wants me investigated and silenced. He makes my case for me. Labour’s rebranded “Islamophobia” definition is designed to censor us. So Mr Khan, here’s my reply: Get lost.

Public praying en masse in civic places & highways was not a feature of civil life in all of my life then suddenly one religious group decide to do so on frequent occasions not all around key dates - this is political statement wrapped up in religion, it is covert assertion of political aims of one community over others. It is not diversity or inclusive or integration! Nick Timothy & Nigel Farage have every right to point this out.

Yes - pensions payments are an unsustainable issue - 3 options - cap the govt general taxation level of future individuals payments to max £70k with individuals paying into SIPP once govt theoretical pot to fund the£70k is reached. Cut the size of the cs to fit a sustainable payout level. Use commercial annuity rate to calculate pension pot sizes & ban 25% tax free cash lump sum withdrawals

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

@SamanthaTaghoy @dshensmith I am genuinely shocked not only at this legislation but also at the total failure of the MSM to highlight what was going on. Again NOT in Labour Party Manifesto I am pretty sure

This is what a full-term baby looks like. The UK government looked into the eyes of sweet, innocent babies like this and decided to decriminalise their murder.

Given that govt taxes for a significant % of the cost of living via direct but also indirect taxation that need to be the first area to address, wage stagnation ( in the private sector) is driven by UK biz environment driving away job creator & too many imported workers + netting zero destroying 300k well paid oil gas & ancillary jobs & replacing them with low value low number solar panel technicians

I'm being named & shamed for my views on abortion. Let me be clear. Name away. But I won't be shamed for sincerely held views & trying to win arguments last night in Lords & more broadly in public for years. PS online version of putting opponents in stocks weakly avoids argument

@John_Stepek In my old business we paid for pay rises within budgets determined by what the customer would pay. In the public sector that statement can be shortened to “ we will give pay rises & the customer will pay”

Tucker Carlson: “Was Iran on the verge of getting a nuclear weapon?” Joe Kent: “No, they weren’t. Not in June either. The Iranians have had a religious ruling, a fatwa, against developing a nuclear weapon since 2004. That’s public knowledge, and we had no intelligence suggesting it was being ignored or about to be lifted. The Iranians know the stakes in their region. Their strategy has been to maintain their nuclear program just enough, seeing what happened to Muammar Gaddafi in Libya when he gave up his nukes.”

the labour party is morally bankrupt & have torn up the last vestige that the Party Manifesto meant anything - how much has Labour omitted from the public in the electioneering at the last election only to put it as priority. Ironic that economic growth which was key manifesto promise is nowhere to be seen

Rarely had a piece of legislation so freighted with ethical dangers and so heavy with unintended consequences passed so lightly... Forty-six minutes of backbench debate. That was the length of time the House of Commons afforded last year to discussing the biggest change to abortion laws in more than half a century. Clause 208 of the Crime and Policing Bill means that it would no longer be an offence for a woman to induce her own abortion at any stage of pregnancy, for any reason. It was not in Labour’s manifesto, but was nonetheless voted through by 379 to 137.

@clim8resistance @UniofOxford of course they do, academia is a whore to research grants & they know who doles out the grants! The moment grants become available for proving CO2 is good for plants & the environment we will see "CO2 good for the Planet & Life" headlines. Peer Reviewed is a massive scam also
