If you drink, don't drive. If you drive, don't drink. #FestiveRIDE will continue through to 2026. If you see a suspected impaired driver, call 911 to report it to police. Over 21,000 people have already made that call and they are helping to keep our shared highways safe. ^ks

Today’s verdict serves as a reminder of the profound and lasting harm caused by impaired driving—on families, communities, and our policing family everywhere. Our hearts remain with Cst. Travis Gillespie’s family, friends, and @YRP colleagues as they continue to carry his memory. Thank you to our @PeelPolice members for their support and to @YRP for their continued strength and resilience.
Chief Jim MacSween@chiefmacsween

Constable Travis Gillespie was a true hero to so many. Three years after his tragic death, he is still so dearly missed. See my statement on the verdict issued today in the case of the collision that took Travis' life.

We @PRPRoadSafety held another tow truck enforcement blitz yesterday laying 27 charges. That brings total charges laid this year to over 1500. Our tow enforcement is ongoing and just one of the ways we are addressing community concerns about the tow industry.
