Our Safer Roads Team proactively attend street racing events to monitor for illegal activity & follow up with charges. They observed this vehicle drifting near pedestrians & driving at high rates of speed. The driver was later charged with Dangerous Operation & Stunt Driving.

It’s a time tested tradition here at @PeelPolice for the Deputy Chief’s to join officers throughout the seasonal RIDE campaign. Tonight, Deputy Chief Lauren Jackson & Mark Dapat were out at a RIDE Checkpoint along side officers looking for impaired drivers. We’re pleased to report that no impaired drivers were detected at this location. Please continue to drink responsibly!

After an intensive investigation, our Major Collision Bureau has arrested the suspect responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Mississauga. Peel Regional Police would like to thank the public for their collaboration and assistance in this investigation, which helped identify the suspect. While @PRPRoadSafety was at Ridgeway plaza we saw this tow truck stunt driving 93 in a 50. Driver was unlicensed and has been charged under HTA and TSSEA. We are at community complaint areas everyday. If you drive dangerously we will charge you and impound your vehicle.

On Tuesday night @PRPRoadSafety officers clocked this vehicle going 91 in a 50. Driver was arrested for impaired and then refused to provide breath sample. Licence suspended car seized. We are out there every night to stop dangerous drivers like this. Please drive safely!!

During our @PRPRoadSafety enforcement in school zones yesterday we charged 2 drivers with stunt driving for going 93 & 101 in a 40. We will be back in school zones today to stop dangerous behaviour like this. Please drive safely or we will take your car and licence.

Along with our partners @OPP_HSD @HaltonPolice @BrantfordPolice @HamiltonPolice we @PRPRoadSafety conducted a truck inspection blitz on Tuesday. More details coming shortly but we inspected 40 trucks that appeared defective. 18 of them were taken out of service. 1/2

We stopped this 19-year-old from Ottawa for using a plate cover that obscured their licence plate The driver told us our friends @OttawaPolice didn't enforce this law. Investigation revealed the driver had a prior conviction for this offence in Ottawa 🤔 He was charged again
