Delighted to welcome the @DriveKyte community to @turo. Legacy car rental experiences are still so often far from ideal, our focus on shaking up the status quo is sharper than ever
Kyte@DriveKyte

What a journey it’s been 🚗💨 @turo has acquired select Kyte assets. From day one, we aimed to create a better car rental experience: delivered to your door, flexible, and built around you 💚 Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the Kyte community. See you on the other side!

Sup guys, I’m Neel - I moved to SF two weeks ago to build a coffee shop! I think SF is a beautiful city full of really interesting people doing incredible things. No other city better encapsulates the expression of human agency, and I love the “you can just do things” culture of building, especially in tech. But I feel like this “culture” has been over-optimized in one direction. As a city, we’ve become too focused on technology and solving problems, and we’ve forgotten about the things that actually make life worth living - dance, poetry, paintings, music, and other expressions of beauty and creativity. We’re slowly seeing some of that seep back into the city, but I think there is still a big cultural hole. Compared to New York, there is much less diversity of things people engage in, and much less depth to the things they do. As an example - in NYC you might pass 5 leather studios on your morning walk, but in SF, you’ll be hard pressed to find a single one. It’s so much harder here to find tasteful shops and boutiques, even harder to find third spaces that actively encourage the arts, and nearly impossible to go to a party without having a conversation about AI. I want to try and change that, and I think the best vehicle for me to do that is through a coffee shop/third space that consciously attracts artists and creatives who are kind, curious, and energetic. I also hope that eventually, this coffee shop begets various kinds of microcultures (e.g of fashion, carpentry, design, literature, etc) and acts as a catalyst for creativity. I don’t have a clear answer as to how I’m going to do this, but I have a few ideas. If you have any thoughts or if anything I said resonates with you, please reach out! Would love to grab (or make you) coffee!

I've always strongly wanted children. But as I've gotten older and heard more from parents about how difficult it is I've started to question what had historically been a very strong desire of mine.
Aella@Aella_Girl

Ok but to be fair it does seem like moms with kids in general are having a pretty bad time, based on the way I hear most parents talk about it. Id like kids someday but I've heard enough from parents to be downright terrified about it and I know it's gonna suck and be awful

Yesterday was my last with the inestimably talented crew at the @FinancialReview. Hugely grateful to my colleagues there and everyone who aided me in the tech world. You know who you are, and most wouldn’t appreciate a tag.

While @emilmichael was at Uber, he helped them raise over $20 billion He was their chief dealmaker, rocketing them to become the fastest growing company in the world between 2013-2017 Uber changed a whole industry, but to do so, they had to navigate some of the trickiest circumstances a startup could ever face So how did an Egyptian immigrant find himself there? One part of the story is relentless hustle and work ethic For the full story, tune into our podcast with him Find the links in the comments! We talked about - The power of the immigrant mentality - Post deal depression - His career origin story - How Uber expanded - Life after Uber - How to fundraise like a pro

First Cybertruck rental just went live in New England. I’m pretty sure it’s the least expensive one on Turo at $399/day. It’s @EZebroni⁩’s truck. turo.com/us/en/truck-re…

Am I in the minority for hating algorithmic playlists? I feel like Spotify just fills every “for you” playlist with the same songs they think I like? I’ve switched to Apple Music and their human-curated playlists are so much better

In light of world events lately, we want to spotlight 5 episodes. 5 relatable role models w many doing their first public interview -- one of our favourite aspects of these episodes are their reflections on their deep rooted Jewish values and how that shaped their upbringing.

My friend and general partner at @M8Ventures @ElaineStead is a role model in authenticity. Nothing of value happens without trust, and you've got to show people some of the 'real you' to gain their trust. This interview with @minmintymin and @cmack4life on the First Cheque podcast is an entertaining and honest deep dive into her origins and work as one of Australia's most experienced VCs. Thank you @DayOneFM for giving voice to these honest, informative stories. open.spotify.com/episode/2wRnTq…
