Just a few moments and views of a place I keep returning to for good reason. Hard to really describe the magic in the coalescence of geology, topography, landscape, sun, sea, light and architectural layers. Any guesses as to where?

@MungoManic Have you seen this article? Embargo on anthropology field notes to be lifted. Aboriginal tribes wanted access as they themselves have forgotten their own history. Will be interesting to see what is in the notes. abc.net.au/news/2024-06-1…

@CoffeeVectors Before the algorithms took over you would curate your own timeline by editing who, and which hashtags, you followed. Your own editorial decision was the algorithm. This feels like a massive bait and switch for an industry selling our attention.

SpaceX currently has human spaceflight seats available for Earth Orbit missions in late 2024. You book a flight to Space, get a custom SpaceX suit made for you and spend 3-6 days orbiting Earth. Citizens can also book a flight to the ISS🚀 More info: spacex.com/humanspaceflig…

@Grady_Booch Crazy stuff! Were the World Central Kitchen aid worked mid-identified by Lavender? And did the Israelis verify the target before the kill order?

@AKorSyd Were all the Greater Cities Comission staff just absorbed into the department? If so, this makes sense why the Premier thinks they are too top heavy.

@OurNewHomecoach But you can’t afford to buy in Balmain?! If Balmain had double the density (approx. half NYC levels) you, and 10’s thousands of others would have a shot at living within ferry ride distance of the CBD. Do you have urban Stockholm syndrome?

I wonder what the engineering trade offs would be for an electric car with differential steering instead of physically turning wheels. It would have to be drive-by-wire, with safety trades, but mechanical complexity could be reduced and aerodynamics significantly improved. Similarly, you could literally have no brakes, relying entirely on regeneration/reversing with just a parking pin. Giving up the direct physical ability to influence the vehicle would be a step too far for most people today, but that is where things are headed with fully self driving vehicles.

@AKorSyd @cammo1234 The LRMDHC should have had these non-refusal standards when it was released years ago. It will be grope to get some consistency.

@cammo1234 Yes. Will get to that. Broad permissibility in all R2 zones, 450sqm minimum lot, 12m minimum lot width, and 1 car space per dwelling.

Exciting plan to have Penrith Lakes open for recreational swimming very soon [so much better than having people recreate in Prospect Reservoir]. Can’t wait to take a dip at first opportunity! smh.com.au/national/nsw/t…
