@SejalSukhadwala @LissaKEvans You had to be quick as it (being sweet and toothsome) it sold out straight away. Loads of fresh fruit chunks, cream and a tiny bit of wholemeal sweet gunge to keep it together. I still base my own trifles

Good Lord, I thought that this series, currently on the BBC iplayer, was absolutely faultless - script, cast, direction, music, the lot. It's occasionally almost too paintful to watch, but that's not a criticism, it's a tribute to its veracity. Just brilliant. #Waitingfortheout

Not at all sure about TheNightManager2. Everyone in it seems a bit old, tired and battered. Right at the end there’s glamorous Spanish hotel and a bomb but if’s not quite enough so far.

I've been watching 'The Beast in Me' & admiring Claire Danes' expressive, believable, nuanced perfomance - & mentally comparing it to that of the major movie star who had to have a worried CGI frown superimposed on her utterly rigid forehead in a recent series..

I never expected to write columns arguing a self evident truth: it’s unfair for women to compete with males.
And I never expected male colleagues to write it doesn’t matter, or that a male boxer smashing up women - only last year in Paris! - was progress.

While I was at the cinema, Davie resigned and a lot of blokes continued to literally mansplain the important issue of trust in the BBC . To women who have patiently explained why they have lost trust in the BBC. It's almost as if they cannot hear us.

Only the BBC can save itself. I've written for tomo's @thetimes on how resignations aren't a fix: the BBC needs to confront the governance & editorial failures that have made it so vulnerable to unrepresentative groupthink on issues like sex and gender.
