USA v. Jeffries: A competency hearing was held today for Michael Jeffries, the former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO charged with sex trafficking and interstate prostitution. A defense psychologist testified Tuesday that Jeffries, who is battling dementia, made a statement on a recorded jail call last year, saying doctors “better find me incompetent.” His attorneys argue the comment reflects "cognitive decline and impulsivity." Jury selection is currently set for October 2026.

A woman was stopped by a Layton City Police officer because he said she was driving drunk so she called her husband to have him there & the officer wouldn’t allow him to watch as he put his hands all over her body searching her.She had no alcohol or drugs,but still was charged!

A thought for the debaters on whether Noonan's testimony (which has not even been scrutinized on cross) is compelling such that KF is guilty: the only issue is whether there is a REASONABLE doubt. Any plausible question that creates doubt is sufficient. The undisputed statements of Noonan ("Kelsey don't") and KF ("I'm sorry, I wish I was dead") are very helpful towards the defense theory and creating reasonable doubt. It is entirely possible that the judge believes that Noonan is credible but easily finds there is reasonable doubt. Once Noonan is cross-examined and after KF presumably testifies, you'll have a much clearer picture. Hope everyone enjoys the day arguing about evidence and calling anyone who disagrees an idiot!

The Kelsey Fitzsimmons trial makes no fucking sense to me. If these officers were so "on edge" about Kelsey and worried about how she was going to react, saying they were scared of knives in the kitchen and worried about the guns, and her being sectioned before, and worried about her reaction to the TRO, why THE FUCK DID THEY INVITE JUSTIN AND HIS SISTER IN THE HOUSE??? These officers were acting like they don't even like her, I wouldn't be surprised if they talked shit about her at work. They took Justin's side for no fucking reason, over the one that they worked with. They freely invited Justin to the basement, where they thought the guns were, and they weren't scared Justin might react? I hate this trial. Many of these MA cops are fucking WORTHLESS. Sorry, not sorry.

My thoughts on the Kelsey Fitzsimmons case after day 1- I feel as though Officer Noonan had reason to believe his life was in danger, and responded accordingly. There is no evidence to support him shooting her for any other reason… other than a perceived threat.

Things are getting really contentious involving the Sheriff in charge of the Nancy Guthrie investigation.
I did a long interview with one of the Pima County supervisors — who is now urging the sheriff to “do the right thing and resign.”
