Reddington ends with asking Dr. Shah about all of the medications that Lindsay Clancy was prescribed and says (paraphrase), “That’s a lot of medications for one person to be prescribed, huh?” Objection, Sustained.
Prosecutors’ redirect points out that Lindsay was not taking all of the pills at the same time.

Defense Kevin Reddington to Dr. Shah: Was she an honest patient? She didn’t try to exaggerate her conditions for legal reasons? Shah agrees. Reddington: You knew that one of her issues was postpartum issues? And you’re familiar with postpartum psychosis? You don’t have to be stumbling and drooling to be in postpartum psychosis? Shah agrees. Reddington: You’re familiar with a bi-polar diagnosis? Can you define? Shah: Mood disorder, decreased need for sleep, impulsive, out of control, and severe episodes can include psychosis Reddington: Do you recall the medications she was on when she first came to the hospital? Shah lists about 4 medications. Reddington describes a tox or blood report performed on Lindsay (as well as other reports from other labs), and her blood reflected trazodone. She explains it’s an antidepressant but also known for sleep. Reddington asks if Shah knows that this shouldn’t be described with other SSRI’s.

ICU nurse Meghan Collins testified that Lindsay Clancy transferred her medical decision-making authority from her husband to her parents. Defense attorney Kevin Reddington also asked whether Collins was familiar with Lindsay’s DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order, but she said she was not.

@TruecrimeRob Yes, she was very honest about what was happening. She went to doctor after doctor, she checked herself in and she told him she thought she could hurt them. He dismissed all of that to keep his life the way he wanted it.

@TruecrimeRob He did everything he could. He said in the testimony that his wife would say she was having dark thoughts but then make a snowman with the kids and make them lunch. So he didn’t observe her being a danger. Ever.

@TruecrimeRob He should be held liable because she stated previously she had thoughts of harming the children. Had he not been made aware of that prior there would have been no way of him knowing and my opinion would change, but as the facts were laid out in court he was aware.
