Like people always say ds2 "mindlessly throws 10 enemies in a room for no reason" but they never think about the context. Like the infamous gank clip, it's an open area, enemies are sleeping, it's not an ambush. You are the ambush bro lmao Later when you're in a castle or fort yeah, expect it to be more heavily guarded, when you go to the pirate's cave later, they're chilling and sleeping lol you ambush them. It all makes sense, just because you don't connect the dots doesn't mean there's no thought behind it. And I know it's probably not that deep but playing DS2 actively looking for good things for the bit (with my brain on) has actually showed me a lot of things I never noticed before.
