@CST801 @DanielHood4 It works when there's more of a dramatic element to it, recent films usually centre around one central idea/gimmick as opposed to a more traditional arc-based dramatic narrative

@DanielHood4 There are exceptions, like Dawn of the Dead, Jaws, The Shining, The Exorcist and yes.... Rosemary's Baby. But I generally agree with you, especially as far as newer horror films are concerned.

Horror movies that go longer then 90mins is just poor storytelling. This recent trend of horror films going 2 hours plus is just ridiculous.
