@grandmagrit Because teachers shouldn’t have to buy them - the tax system is not set up for employees to buy their own supplies. It’s set up for the school/employer to buy them. If teachers were contractors or owned their own private school they could write it off.

Why is it legal to write off 100% of hair styling for the President, but not 100% of school supplies for teachers?
