Years back, I was in 100L, studying accounting. I was already teaching my mates across different departments in the faculty, Mathematics and accounting. Everyone knew me. One of the people I taught told her sister about me. That I break down the complex stuffs so anybody can understand. So the sister contacted me to teach her and some of her class mates. They attend open university, studying accounting but they were in 200L. I didn’t even ask what I was supposed to teach. I just went 😂. Me wey Dey find money. Anywhere income Dey, bring am come. I got there o, they said let’s do accounting, I said okay, which topic? They said “container accounts”. Container account ke. I don’t know it o. I didn’t tell them that sha. Their school always have study texts so I asked if they have it in print. They gave it to me. I opened the chapter. Seeing container account for the first time (but I’ve heard the name before), I knew I had to do something cause I can’t leave money on the table. I told them they have 5 mins to settle down. Get their books, pee if they have to, cause I don’t like students getting distracted in my class or going out because that will set them back and I’ll have to explain to them again (just to buy time, but I actually do this). I used that 5 mins to study and master the entire thing. Found that it was just specialized “posting go the ledger”. The way I broke it down for them, they thought I’ve been teaching that topic for years. We had subsequent meetings and 4 of them got an A in the course. That was one of the earliest days I was able phantom the degree of what I have up there.

Few years ago, when I made my first million, while celebrating the win, my then girlfriend sent a message and asked for 2k urgently. I saw the message and smiled in disgust, and at that moment, I knew we were done. I sent the money alongside a break-up message. As a millionaire, I couldn't imagine being seen with someone who couldn't afford 2k.

When I left the UK 🇬🇧 for Canada 🇨🇦, my whity colleagues were genuinely excited for me. Some even said Canada was their dream country and they were tired of the UK. Low key said how they wish they were the one’s living the UK 🇬🇧. Funny enough, I wasn’t leaving because the UK was bad, just kpali. 😂 Lesson: the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Just be content.

Why Glo is Failing Glo once forced MTN to rethink pricing, handed Nigerians free SIMs, signed the biggest celebrities, and landed a 9,800 km submarine cable. It was not just a telecom company. It was a statement. That statement has been rotting for a decade. In March 2024, Glo reported 62 million active subscribers. By September, 19 million. The NCC’s audit did not shrink Glo’s base. It revealed that Glo had been counting ghosts for years, inflating figures while the real business collapsed underneath. The infrastructure tells the same story. MTN runs over 28,000 km of fibre across Nigeria but Glo runs 13,800. Less than half. With that deficit, 102 major outages in early 2025 should surprise no one. One lasted eight hours across five states. Another sat unresolved for four days in Adamawa and Taraba which was unresolved. Then there is the breach. Hackers attacked Glo in August 2023 and walked away with customer data. Glo said nothing for a full year. The NCC had to force a board overhaul in October 2024 just to get governance back on the table. Market share is now 11.9% with No 5G. 3.2 million internet subscribers lost in five months. A daily bleed of 21,000 users. Its internet base is back to 2013 levels. Airtel has 34% of the market. MTN has 52%. Glo has memories. The company that once made the big players nervous is now in danger of being overtaken by 9mobile. 9mobile oooo. The same operator most Nigerians forgot existed. Glo did lost to itself.

1. I applied for jobs I didn’t really like so I can see money for food first. 2. While I was at my low paying job I kept applying to top firms that I really wanted. 3. I underrated no one and spoke to everyone that I really needed a job and while speaking to everyone, I spoke to a primary school mate who submitted my cv in her highly prestigious firm. I did the interviews and got the job Life will definitely get better.
