If you did, you'd know that blatantly and intentionally ignoring an order -- especially in theater -- is a guaranteed ticket out of the military after a customary stay in the brig or stockade, all courtesy of a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge. And when either of these two discharges occur to you, what follows is a loss of all your VA benefits, including medical. Having rapidly-accessible free healthcare is nice. And because our VA serves only (honorable) vets, it's not a nightmare like the NHS or whatever passes for Canada's healthcare system especially now that both systems are currently choking on an excess of recently-arrived foreign refugees. I can leave my home and drive to the local VA hospital and I will be in a doctor's office all within 15 minutes. And guess who's choking up every free clinic in America?
