There’s a bit of a misconception embedded in the question: Mossad operations in Iran and the safety of Jews in the UK are related to different threat systems, not a single “cause-and-effect switch.” 1) What Mossad actions in Iran actually do Israel’s intelligence operations against Iran mainly target: nuclear scientists IRGC commanders and planners weapons infrastructure and logistics These are part of an Iran–Israel covert conflict inside Iran and nearby regions . Even when Iran-linked operatives are killed or disrupted, it does not dismantle the entire global network instantly, because: These networks are decentralized (cells, proxies, criminal intermediaries) Operations are often designed for deniability and replacement leadership Training, funding, and ideology persist beyond individual “masterminds” So removing one layer in Tehran doesn’t automatically stop activities in Europe. 2) Why threats to UK Jews can still happen UK security assessments have repeatedly warned that Iran-linked actors have tried to: surveil Jewish community leaders plan abductions or assassinations use criminal proxies in Europe And more recently, UK officials have discussed laws targeting foreign-state proxies carrying out antisemitic attacks . Key point: These are often not direct “state agents flying in from Tehran” operations, but: local criminal networks radicalised individuals outsourced proxy cells That makes them harder to fully eliminate. 3) Why “successful hits” in Iran don’t equal safety in the UK Think of it like this: Iran → Israel conflict = strategic leadership and military infrastructure war UK antisemitic threats = diaspora security + proxy intimidation + ideological extremism Even if Mossad disrupts high-level planners, the UK threat environment depends on: local policing and intelligence (MI5, counter-terror units) community protection disruption of recruitment and financing inside Europe So one theatre being “damaged” doesn’t neutralize the other. 4) The uncomfortable reality Even intelligence agencies themselves acknowledge this: dismantling networks is cyclical, not final pressure in one place can cause fragmentation, not disappearance proxy systems can regenerate quickly if funding and intent remain Bottom line Mossad operations in Iran can degrade specific operational capacity, but they don’t automatically translate into “UK Jews are safer now,” because: the UK threat is largely proxy-based and localised networks are distributed and replaceable security depends more on domestic counterterrorism than foreign strikes
