I used to do this thing when I hired a kid out of college…I’d ask “do you think that wealthy people should have access to better education, housing, health care, nutrition than poor people”…invariably they’d say no because that what they were taught at the collectivist learning center…I’d then ask “what the hells the point of being rich then?”…..the economy on one lesson…”of you work harder than other people you should have better stuff”….and I’m certain someone is going to suggest that I’m saying poor people should have good access to those things…I’m not…Rich people should have better…

@silibosta @pterodaustro People like you shouldn’t be in charge of building society. People like you being in charge of what we currently have is a large part of why it’s coming apart at the seams.

want to make it clear that i do not give a shit about the actual discourse this dumb poll is generating but i do find it a lil fascinating how like 90% of the people ive seen talking about it are in favor of the red button and present as the obvious choice. because i read this -

The actual derangement is the people who don’t realize Obama is broadly popular, well-liked, and remembered fondly and was extremely popular on the day he left office as well. Not a perfect president or a flawless administration but better than all the other ones.

@UnrektEngine @ResistanceSean Can you tell me exactly what you think private ownership means? Why do you think privatizing the means of production is good?

I want leftists to tell me what leftists have done wrong for once. What they could be doing and could have done better? What failure has been in their control? Instead of blaming Dems for everything. If they win, Dems tried to stop them, if they lose, it was rigged.

@KBP9a91 @SwannMarcus89 Your only hope is Josh Shapiro who'd win in a landslide. Unfortunately your party has gotten so racist they'd never nominate a White Jew.

I refuse to read the comments because I don’t care but I am clearly right about this. Donald Trump started a war of choice nobody saw coming that doubled gas prices in two months and the Democrats are…performing worse in the generic ballot than at the same point in 2018 We’re going to have a hard fought election to try and take the Senate after Trump did the craziest shit I’ve ever seen from a sitting president. Given the war will be over before November, the Dem generic advantage might even be far less than the current 6% The GOP can do the most psychotic nonsense and reman competitive. Meanwhile, the median voter thought Biden - who progressives think was to the right of Ronald Reagan - was a communist. Sorry I’m the only lib being honest about our situation
Swann Marcus@SwannMarcus89

Long term the Democrats are completely fucked. They keep moving left and 60% of American voters already think the Democrats are too liberal. The party is overwhelmingly hated and it will get worse The Democrats are only able to compete because Donald Trump is still alive

@SwannMarcus89 Marcus we are in a crisis of leadership. The problem is that Obama is asleep at the wheel and there is nobody leading the Democratic party. We need strong characters to stand up with the will to win. The only question is whether people will rise to the occasion.

@JonDavidson7111 @NMoonitz So let's scrutinize the evidence by constructing a timeline. On what date and time did the alleged sexual assault occur?

@NMoonitz Why? Because you're an ignoramus? TESTIMONY IS EVIDENCE. Period. Link to a source proving that wrong, ok?

Is there a single shred of evidence placing Trump and E Jean Carroll at the department store at the same time? If so, link it here.

I keep seeing a lot of supposed MAGA people say that it doesn’t matter if Comey gets convicted because “the process is the punishment.” Call me crazy but that sure sounds like government weaponization to me. Aren’t we against that?

@bpret @andieiamwhoiam @BreakingBrown Blacks commit violent crimes at insanely disproportionate rates. Trump gets railroaded by a weaponized court over alleged victimless crimes. These are exactly the same according to you.

Slavery in this country lasted 246 years. Jim Crow lasted around 100 years. Our attempt to remedy the impact of those crimes against humanity was met with white terrorism & savagery. The laws we finally got passed to address these harms were relentlessly challenged & lasted only 61 years before they were all finally stripped away. This country has decided that the idea of race can be used to multigenerationally oppress us, but any remedy must be race neutral, which means there can be no remedy. Never again will I vote for a presidential candidate who is unwilling to admit that America—a country that wouldn’t exist without chattel slavery—is a racist nation. That’s the beginning for me, before we even get to policies & legislation.

Breaking News: The Supreme Court struck down Louisiana’s voting map, calling it an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. It's unclear how the decision will impact the midterms, but Louisiana will likely lose one Democratic district. nyti.ms/4ugVnDa

Religious people will describe heaven as a classless, stateless, moneyless society with no private property, no suffering, and everyone’s needs met, then turn around and call communism evil. It will never stop being funny.

If 100% of people vote blue, no one dies. If 100% of people vote red, no one dies. This is true. If 51% of people vote blue, no one dies. If 51% of people vote red, 49% of people die. If our goal is to minimize death, it is far easier to get 51% to act in concert than 100%.
