@erichhartmann They wouldn't need to buy Ad space. Just have TSA put up signage on how their Dem senator voted for DHS funding.

@wesyang Blue states want to raise taxes on the rich to give to the poor. This ends up attracting takers and driving away makers. Red states want the opposite of that.

Red States that attract richer residents with lower taxes should be able to lower taxes even further as richer residents flow in, adding more to the tax base than they extract from it at lower rates. Which raises the question of why that didn't happen in the Blue States. (Democrats won counties that account for 2/3 of the country's wealth.)

@viktorg475 @actsmaniac Women, esp celebrities in <2015 were rail thin, just look up pictures from the time, esp teen celebrities. Most celebrities we'd consider attractive or perfect now would be considered fat or obese back then

@viktorg475 @AndrewQuackson What are you having trouble understanding? NJ tax dollars get redistributed to Alabama driving up its GDP. US economy subsidizes Alabama, Greece doesn’t have CA/NY to leach off of.

It's socially controllable though. Pretty much all representation of Indian men in media is negative, especially when it comes to attractiveness. And we already proved it can be controlled with fat acceptance. We put thick women in every ad across America for a few years and it worked (it was a good thing)

@viktorg475 @AndrewQuackson NJ gets about 80 cents on the dollar Alabama gets 190 cents per dollar paid to federal government. It’s not comparable to all of Greece.

@Eric_Schmitt Need to see mass deportations to justify the budget expansion for Border Patrol from the BBB. Congress with the admin seems to have stopped pushing for mass deportations & never have gone after companies hiring illegals enmaae.

Washington Democrats know they can’t pass a bill giving amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. So the next best thing is to defund the agency charged with immigration enforcement for a de facto amnesty. Democrats here value illegal immigrants more than the traveling public, disaster relief and Americans’ safety Once you understand this reality their actions are predicable.

every tool cursor, windsurf, and the wrapper companies sell is assembled from work other people gave away for free. the question isn't whether they're allowed to. it's whether the people who built the foundations are getting their share.

composer 2 is kimi k2.5 with RL. the IDE is vscode. authorized or not, the entire $50B product is built on open source foundations other people created. nothing wrong with building on open source. that's what it's for. but the people training these models should be getting more credit and more money than a wrapper company that evaluated base models and picked the best one.

Sorry for posting this again, I'm still processing it: It'd cost >>> $743k per year <<< to run Opus-4.6 fast-mode nonstop Literally my company cannot afford a single person using it for daily coding. And that's a shame because the experience is truly magical. I've spent the last 2 days using it on Pi (nearly $500 gone 💀), and it was the first time I kinda got into the flow state while using an agent, because the feedback is just so fast. This is not something I ever experienced before, definitely not with GPT 5.4's own fast mode. I can't wait for this kind of super fast, super high intelligence to be available for a reasonable cost...

This is true and under-appreciated in my opinion. When you look at polling data by cohort and think about the demographic, political and ideological trends at work in Israel, it's hard not to conclude that, 2 or 3 decades from now, people will remember Netanyahu as a moderate and regret the days when the fate of the Jewish state and that of the Middle East rested in his steady hands. He will be Israel's Mitt Romney.
Teortaxes▶️ (DeepSeek 推特🐋铁粉 2023 – ∞)@teortaxesTex

People have no clue how nasty it's about to get. Every year you'll see Israel that's more religious, more hostile, more fecund, more exultant in abusing its leverage. Ever closer to their caricatures of Arabs. To the moon! Demographics is destiny. You'll weep for *genteel* Bibi.

Forget the trash methods, this focus on birthplace is to justify Trump's bans of entire nationalities, even tho the differences in welfare use rates (using real data, not this) have nothing to do with birthplace. It's about skills + welfare rules. Treat people as individuals!
Emily Jashinsky@emilyjashinsky

New research on non-citizen welfare use from @CIS_org: "One factor that does not explain immigrant households’ higher use of programs is an unwillingness to work. In fact, immigrant households are more likely to have a worker present than households headed by the U.S.-born. However, working in no way prevents use of welfare programs."

📉 Bad News: MiniMax M2.7 is closed weights. No HuggingFace release = no local inferencing. 🛡️ Good News, you can still use it with 100% privacy. Use @novita_labs (US SF-based) via @OpenRouter. They operate under a Zero Retention agreement: 🚫 No logging inputs 🚫 No storing chat history 🚫 No training on your prompts 📜 “You acknowledge and agree that we shall not log, store, or retain any User Content, including but not limited to your Inputs, prompts, chat histories, or any Outputs generated by the Services, unless we have obtained your prior written consent for specific instances.” If we can't get open weights, zero retention is better than nothing. 🤝

We are enthusiastically willing to pay TSA workers today, and we will keep trying, but the sticking point is that Republicans want to attach ICE funding to it. We are not in agreement about ICE, but I don’t think workers and travelers should have to wait for an ICE deal.

Last week liberals had a melt down over a Confederate Flag flying proudly in the wind on Lake Norman and visible from I-77. A couple of libs even called NC SHP and 911 to report the flag, then expressed outrage that the cops wouldn’t do anything. I realize this is a shock to Yankee transplants and West Coasters. But if you get off the interstates and drive across the Carolinas on secondary roads you’ll quickly realize these flags are pretty darn common. Trust me no one’s going to steal your children or burn a cross in your front yard. In the South people continue to fly the Confederate flag primarily as a symbol of Southern heritage, local pride, and regional identity, often honoring ancestors who fought in the Civil War. Others use it to represent rebellion, cherished rural lifestyle, or a desire for limited government. But be warned it is also a flashing reminder that FA/FO applies big time in rural Carolinas. Y’all come back now ya hear!
