@existentialwhy @Xilo_K What? Geneva isn't the prettiest of cities but both of them have much better cuisine and are way more vibrant and lively. Lausanne has festivals, nightlife, activities all the time etc. it's way more alive than most cities in Switzerland, let alone countries like the UK etc

I have the same problem with romanian and russian. I used to live in a city with a huge % of russian speakers and then I moved to a city with a similar % of romanian speakers. Now it’s a bit hard for me to express my thoughts in my native language. I’m kind of ashamed of that… I understand MAJ3R

Update: Due to medical issues, TYLOO has withdrawn from the PoB grand final that was earlier delayed to ensure the team could attend.
Lynn Vision will be crowned champions of the tournament without playing a single map in the playoffs.
Simply absurd.

Taffy@TaffyAU
Still not done with Yuqilin PoB drama; TYLOO v LVG grand final (originally set for 5pm CST, ~20min from now) pushed back by 3 hours. Means TYLOO can now easily transit and play, unlike the last two days. Couldn’t reschedule any of the other previous games though!

@JesperLarsen222 @TeamLiquidCS @ODDIKgg @GaiminGladiator @bestia_corp Is it GG for bestia if they lose to PUA, even if PUA and GG both lose?
English

@TeamLiquidCS @ODDIKgg @GaiminGladiator @bestia_corp Liquid can still afford one and only one of the BESTIA, Passion UA, GG and ODDIK to overtake them 👍

Americas Major stage 1 invite status ->
"How does Liquid get to the major?"
Liquid currently sits at 9th place AM which means they can only afford to be pushed one place down by the teams under them in the ranking.
There are still 3 teams (BESTIA, Gaimin Gladiators and ODDIK) which can overtake them.
The good news for Liquid fans is that the required results for the 3 teams have increased.. maybe to a point where Liquid is now looking into likely keeping their spot.
It seems likely to me at least, that at worst one of the things list below happens, most likely is BESTIA winning Riga I would say.
But let's look closer on what the other teams needs to do to overtake Liquid:
Gaimin Gladiators can overtake Liquid with "just" a top 3 finish in Circuit X. However first they need to win their match against Gamehunters to qualify for the playoffs as 2nd in Group D.
Then they will face paiN in the quarterfinal, a match where they will have to make the upset to stay in contention. Only if they win this does it start to look good with 2 chances to score 1 win and place at least 3rd.
ODDIK has won Group D and is ready for playoffs, presumeably against Galorys (2nd in Group a) in the Quarterfinal. From here they need to win Semi and Final to overtake Liquid.
BESTIA placed second in Group B in Riga and will now face Passion UA in the Semi. This is on paper the hardest match left, but if they manage to win it, they also need to win the Final to overtake Liquid.
Passion UA would have to defeat BESTIA and then win the final to get close to Liquid. I have them a few points short of Liquid even if they win the event, but its too close to call 100%, with all the possible combinations of other results.
With the brackets in the 2 events, it is technically possible that all 3 things happens in which case it looks to be Gaimin Gladiators and BESTIA who takes the 2 Stage 1 invites.
MIBR still seems to end up just being safe in all the scenarios I have run, but it gets close in some.

@OnlyJoshinTV @Lynnvision_ We don't need three trash AU teams in the major. RA forfeiting has no impact on major invites since SemperFi can't beat anyone not called Rooster
English

@Lynnvision_ Like there is no issue with going to an easier tournament for LAN wins.
It is more how the RA v LVG forfeit went.

@smartbackwards These poorfag slavs only made it to the major piggybacking off their last major run 6 months ago
English

@neLendirekt I only give them the benefit of the doubt because they have 2 tier 1 LANs coming up and this team seems to be doing the best when not under pressure
English

@JesperLarsen222 They play everything but tier 1-3 LANs. They shouldn't be able to qualify by beating starving Soviets
English

Important note about K27!:
I have to admit I have completely overlooked that they are also playing the PGL Astana CQ 😮
(These guys play everything!)
If they sweep this qualifier it will decrease the required result in the MPKBK LAN a lot.
The Atlanta CQ will almost only reward H2H adjustment points for now, but if they win all 4 matches there that also amounts to some points.. enough to make the difference.
If they lose a match it can work against them too.
Overall this increases their major chance I would say with their current form.

A deeper look at the EU Major Qualification (EU) ->
Is it "Catch SINNERS day" today?
We are now finally getting to the point where the projected April 6th ranking which HLTV produces really offers some great insights, so let's look at the ranking (see below).
We know from a SINNERS interview that they will not play anymore and "leave it up to the gods" whether they will qualify.
With their current rank as 14th EU it makes them a good target for other teams that are still active.. kind of the team to aim for if you want to qualify and are still playing events (which everybody else is).
In this analysis I will list what it takes for each team to stay above or get above SINNERS as probably a good way to try to guess who will stay in contention and who will go out of contention today (if any).
I personally think its quite likely SINNERS will be right on the edge of qualifying in the end, which makes it an understandable approach they take :)
The "Who plays what" overview:
DraculaN 6:
We have Monte, Alliance, FaZe in the ongoing DraculaN 6, where the outcome could still be that they all pass SINNERS in a very special scenario.
Much more likely is that Monte will stay above SINNERS, Alliance will probably not get by SINNERS and FaZe could pass SINNERS with a top 3 finish (if 3rd is via Lower bracket)
Parken Challenger Championship 3:
We have B8 and 3DMAX playing here. Both can pass SINNERS.
I would say 3DMAX is quite likely to. B8 could also do it, but have a more narrow road.
3DMAX can afford at least one defeat as long as they get to the final. B8 could also afford a defeat if they win one match against 3DMAX (double elim).
MPKBK CIS LAN 4:
K27 plays here but will have to win the event to pass SINNERS (and get a major ticket 100%).
HLC Belgrade:
BIG plays here and could pass SINNERS with a string of wins but no room for defeats to low ranked opponents.
Stake Ranked:
HEROIC, BetBoom, Gentle Mates, Ninjas in Pyjamas plays here.
HEROIC are likely to stay above, but 0-2 and they fail.
BetBoom can pass SINNERS with 1 win and 2 defeats to high ranked teams.
At least one of Gentle Mates/NIP are likely to pass SINNERS because its most likely one will go deep enough.
It is possible that all 4 teams ends above SINNERS too if BetBoom, HEORIC does just enough and NIP/M8 end in top 3.
If we sum up from above we have extreme scenarios where it is possible that 3 from DraculaN, 2 from PCC3, 1 from MPKBK, 1 from HLC Belgrade and 3 from Stake Ranked will pass SINNERS pushing them way out of contention and making this "catch SINNERS" approach not enough.
Much more likely quite a few will fail in the quest to pass SINNERS.
Alliance, BIG, K27, B8, Gentle Mates/NIP and B8 can easily fail.
Monte/HEROIC will probably stay above.
BetBoom and 3DMAX have a good chance to get past in my opinion.
I also think one of NIP/Gentle Mates have a good chance to pass them.
FaZe will still have to place 2nd or 3rd via Lower Bracket.
One thing is for sure, we will know much more after today 😉.
Will be interesting how many (if any) will fall out of contention already today.
My guess is if you can no longer catch SINNERS then you are most likely out of the major.
