@talkaboutodd yeah lol getting the kill would have "allowed" donk a chance at a 1v4, assuming zont1x gets insta traded, which doesnt fully matter dinking the guy left last "allows" donk a chance at a very favorable 1v1, so the model values it more 🤷‍♂️

@smartbackwards If instead of dinking teses for 89, he killed him and then died to someone else, putting donk in a 1v4, does zontix end up with *less* round swing, because his impact was earlier in the round?

awesome change to a great website! fun thing about donk's 1v5 against Heroic at the Shanghai major - his last kill came against TeSeS who was ultra low after zont1x dinked him for 89hp earlier on in the round, which in turn gave most of the reward from the donk 1v1 to zont1x at first i was like "whoa what the hell" but it does make sense mathematically when you think about it

We at btrams stats bureau have heard your concerns — our recent visualisation of donk's head to head against every opponent in his CS2 career clearly missed the mark. Upon review, we identified clarity issues that fell short of our standards. The person responsible for that post has been let go with immediate effect.

@muunijs yeah the size of the balls is rounds played imo its alright but probably needed to make the names a bit bigger, maybe cut down the sample to like min. 100 rounds to make it less cluttered

this analogy will land for like 10% of my followers but doing 2.0 vs 3.0 rating comparisons really is like comparing batting average and OBP in baseball they try to measure a players output but just like AVG doesnt have walks, 2.0 lacks economic adjustment/swing to tell us the full story

parsed every available (101 kills missing🥀) CS2 demo for donk to get his H2H stats he faced 202 opponents for more than 50 rounds, has a negative K/D against 24 of them against ZywOo donk's 93-103. adjusted for economy, he was expected to get 92.6 kills - such a close matchup!

youre right, the normalization makes it easier... its just that one is more prone to economic related inflation than the other (a crucial component thats missing, just like walks from AVG) so you could in theory float your way up to a 1.50 by taking all the ecos, as rare as that might be ill edit my original post cause ive overdramatized it for no reason

@smartbackwards I'm probably one of the few followers who actually need for you to expand the CS2 part and not the baseball. I always thought that the values were sort of normalized so comparing 2.0 vs 3.0 while not ideal was still reasonable. Like what's the dif between 1.50 in 2.0 vs 3.0?
