I am literally shaking. Some teenager threw a rock off an overpass and did this to my truck. I caught him, and his dad had the nerve to say, "He’s just a kid being a kid, I’ll give you $50 for the 'inconvenience'." $50?? This is a specialized windshield with sensors! He told me I was "ruining a child’s future" by calling the police. I feel like he’s raising a criminal and expects me to pay for it. Do I press full charges?

🚨 ALLEGED DOG ABUSER - ST ANNES ON SEA BLACKPOOL. IF YOU KNOW HIM, HAVE A WORD From another social media post: Does anyone recognise this specimen of humanity who was on the beach - south of the pier - about 7.45 this evening (Wednesday 27 May)? My friend and I (with our dogs) noticed him as he was hitting both of his dogs. He then picked one up either by its collar or scruff of the neck and let it hang! We could hear what he was saying to them (loudly) and it wasn’t pleasant. Out came my camera and I pretended to be videoing the beach but was taking this photo. He sort of walked towards us and as he did so the language he used towards the dogs changed from very unpleasant to more favourable. As he came closer I said I’d noticed the change in what he was saying to the dogs - well the beast was unleashed and a tirade of foul abusive and threatening language came forth - he was nearly screaming at us. Other people heard him as we were asked what all that was about. My only concern was for the dogs - 2 Yorkshire terriers (or similar) who seemed to be fastened together by a length of chain - could have been a ‘brace’ for walking 2 dogs on one lead. @according2_taz I think the parents may have sacrificed the babies because of the extreme heat. What is usually a lovely safe, cosy place to nest is probably like an oven in this heat. (Exactly the same happened to a nest of blue tits under our eaves a couple of years ago. It's heart-breaking).

Anyone know much about sparrows? My nesting pair under the roof threw out 3 babies today. I found two dead on the ground this morning, the weren’t fledged, they were bald with eyes closed and just found a 3rd that was in my flower pot. Only seen the male who’s been chirping for hours?

@according2_taz If the nest was too hot they would have died from the heat. We have a bird box with blue tit babies and I could see their little heads pop up and they were panting yesterday. I sheltered it as best I could from the sun by shading it with a sheet

A flexible tube with a small camera is inserted into the colon so physicians can examine the lining and remove abnormal growths at the discretion of the doctor. That lesion may become cancerous in 15-20 years or it may never become cancer. In the meantime, poking a little too hard with the instruments can make a hole, leaking fecal matter into your abdominal cavity. So you could end up with emergency surgery for a possible lesion that could possibly become cancerous someday. Now, instead of reacting emotionally or projecting the program you’ve been given, step back and think logically. Does this sound like a good idea? When a procedure can lead to death or permanent damage, don’t you think it’s time to rethink our approach?

🚨⚠️ BASINGSTOKE ANIMAL ABUSERS FACE This evil teen tied string around a cats neck and swung the poor animal repeatedly before slamming it against scaffolding and a brick wall. I have chosen not to post the video. His name is Henry Newey, 18, and he is from Basingstoke, Hampshire. Newey was charged follow an incident, caught on camera, in which a terror-stricken cat with string tied around his neck was shown being dragged by a youth before being swung around and slammed against scaffolding and a brick wall. The heinous act took place on Chivers Close, Basingstoke, at around 6am on Thursday 17 July 2025. The cat, Marshall, was missing for several hours but finally returned home injured and struggling to breathe with the string pulled tightly on his neck. The traumatised family pet is now recovering after receiving veterinary treatment. His attacker Newey has been charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal. He was remanded in custody to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court. Update: Now convicted - a paltry suspended sentence & ban on owning animals for 5 years.
