grateful to the community for coming along for the ride and giving us a chance. fwiw - i still believe in the mission we started, (even if we werent the ones to see it through this time)
to our investors: thank you for the trust. i’m sorry we couldn't deliver the result you backed us for.
the engineering team deserves massive amounts of the credit here. they poured alot into this and stayed incredibly committed even until the final days. they are open to new opportunities (if anyone needs connecting DM me)
we had a platform we believed could change the landscape for IP like Broadside. ultimately we missed this mark. there are many reasons why (reflections and lessons to share for another time) but the responsibility for the outcome is on us.
anyway, i’m proud of what we built and grateful for the lessons. I’ve been going non-stop since 2021, and the landscape (and life) looks very different now. I’m going to take a few months to reflect before deciding what to do next.

After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to wind down Basejump as a venture-backed company. We saw strong early growth, but monetization and fundraising in the current gaming market didn’t come together fast enough to continue responsibly. Broadside will remain live in a slimmed-down, free-to-play form, with OG assets permanently stored on Arweave. Basejump accounts will stay live until March 1 so users can download VRMs created on the platform. Grateful to everyone who supported the project, and proud of what we built. Broadside lives on ☠️⬆️
