Quite funny seeing Westminster parties having a meltdown because @JohnSwinney fought for Scotland’s whisky industry and delivered results.

A wee thread about Malcolm Offord and why it is absolutely OK to slate him. Offord spent his working life as a banker before being appointed to the House of Lords and becoming a Tory minister. Now he has moved onto Reform, which is just Tory Plus.

@clc_505 Every one of those leaders is on a salary that is higher than most people will ever get. Not one of them has done anything to merit such a wage. A bunch of rich folk are debating the struggles of the working class. Every one is so far out of touch with the public.

Being rich isn’t about the possessions you own; it’s about being healthy and having good people around you to support you. Boasting about material items on TV, while speaking to people who may never be in that position, shows a real lack of understanding. Who is advising here?

@Ross_Greer Your message to people is to not aspire to be successful. You'd rather a country on benefits while you still ask the tax payer to pay your bills coz your salary, which is higher than the majority of people, isn't enough.

Not having this 'You're gonna need 60%+ support for independence & over a year' or whatever argument against another indyref. If the full weight of the British state+British state media in 2014 could only muster a 55% vote against independence, then to hell with those goalposts
