Hundreds of jobs and apprenticeships are being announced at Prestwick Airport.   It's a 40 million pound investment. It means there will be room to work on 10 @Ryanair planes at a time with new heavy maintenance hanger. First Minister @JohnSwinney visited earlier.

Brilliant news for Ayrshire - 450 new skilled jobs in Prestwick as Ryanair expands its maintenance hub. This week alone we've announced over 2,300 new jobs coming to Scotland. Much of that is down to the immense work of Kate Forbes, and I can't thank her enough.

Energy bills are estimated to soar again by £332 from July. Households cannot afford to take another hit. I am calling on the Prime Minister to urgently convene a four nations emergency summit and freeze the price cap now.

UK government’s support for oil-heated homes in Scotland falls far short, and has been painfully slow.   We are stepping in to more than double the UK Government's plan.    In an energy-rich nation, nobody should struggle to heat their home and the UK government must do more.

It’s unacceptable that in energy-rich Scotland, people’s energy bills are going through the roof. The best solution to that comes with independence. Right now, the energy market is reserved to the UK government. It’s time they get a move on and protect households.
