I’m sick of my friend’s five-year-old always asking “why?” after every single answer. It’s exhausting. “Why is the sky blue?” “Light scatters.” “Why does light scatter?” “Because of molecules.” “Why because of molecules?” Most adults shut this down quickly. But last week when he came dinner, I watched him answer eighteen consecutive “whys” with patience and AI. By the end, we all were learning. It made me realize we shouldn’t outgrow the why stage.

Here in America we really have to stop calling gasoline "gas." It's not a gas. It's a liquid (as we typically encounter it). And it's not natural gas, which is actually called "gas" globally. Plus, when we say "gas" it confuses all the Europeans, but that's only a bonus. On top of all that, we say people "have gas" which actually does mean something gaseous, but has no resemblance to the "gas" we put in our cars. And then finally, to really confuse everybody else, we have "gas" stations and food convenience stores coupled together so that you can literally, "Eat here and get gas" which is often true but confusing. What's a better name for gasoline in the USA? (Please don't say "petrol" because that just sounds too faggoty...)

On average, young Aussies want 2-2.5 kids. So our birth rate hasn’t collapsed because we stopped wanting kids. It’s that we’ve made housing as the foundation for building a family an impossible luxury. We need our governments to start treating our declining birth rate as a national priority.

Imagine dedicating your life to something for 10 years, then the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES recognizes your work… but your co-worker who showed up last month crosses your name out and steals all the credit. That’s what just happened to me 😂 Forgive me for getting heated.

The lesson is clear: Governments cannot be trusted to manage... anything. Not our energy sector Not our farming Not our industry Not our utilities Not even our money. Nothing that matters should ever be entrusted to something as feckless as government. Government worshippers insist we 'need' Government to do things that are 'too important' for the private sector, but the truth is the opposite... ...if it's important, keep the government WAY away from it. If we can learn that lesson then the pain will have been worthwhile.
