@SundanceKidSr @sixspacedeep @greg_price11 Okay. Can you come up with a single example of a time you would find it justified to retroactively scrub a law that was in place for over 50 years? Cause IDK how you don't think this is suspicious on its face.

@XPhrone @sixspacedeep @greg_price11 Okay, to answer your question, on its face, no. Unless the suspicion is that they’re doing something partisan (ie something I wouldn’t like if it was the other side doing it), which I would assume to be true.

It's worth recapping just how many state laws Virginia Democrats violated in order to actually do this referendum. They kept a special session open for two years, pushed it through with early voting already underway in last year's governor's race, and failed to publish it three months before an election. They wrote an extremely misleading ballot question, also in violation of the law, that claimed creating a 10D-1R map was a "temporary measure" to "restore fairness," in order to influence a particular result. And yet, a referendum passing by less than 5 points will allow them to create a 10D-1R map in a state that voted for Kamala by 6 points. If only Republicans would use the power they gain to ruthlessly govern instead of lecturing us about 'norms and procedures.'

@antikachobian @vagentleman2 @KenCuccinelli It's because there's only 1 political machine, and it changes colors depending on the state you're in. Crazy how many people aren't getting this yet. As if TX and VA are on opposite sides of something LMAO. Globalists, all around.

@XPhrone @vagentleman2 @KenCuccinelli Republicans were nowhere in the fight. Obama and other Dem relics left their moth-balled crypts and descended on Virginia. Republicans—relics or the current crop—couldn’t be bothered. Scott Presley, bless him, is the only guy who used his megaphone.

The "yes" vote has won Va's redistricting referendum — but the legal fight is just beginning. Four Va Constitutional challenges are now teed up: THREE challenges to the amendment process itself: 1️⃣ First passage was invalid. The amendment was taken up during a special session convened in 2024 for budget purposes. The General Assembly's own call to the Governor (under Art. IV, §6 and Art. V, §5) and its governing resolution (HJR 6001) limited the session's scope. Expanding it to include a constitutional amendment on redistricting required a two-thirds vote that never occurred. A Tazewell County judge found this action "void, ab initio." 2️⃣ Art. XII, §1 requires that after first passage, a proposed amendment be "referred to the General Assembly at its first regular session held after the next general election of members of the House of Delegates." An election must intervene between first and second passage. Here, first passage occurred during an election cycle — not before an intervening one. 3️⃣ Art. XII, §1 requires the amendment be submitted to voters "not sooner than ninety days after final passage by the General Assembly." The timeline from second passage to the April 21 vote did not satisfy this requirement. Plus ONE challenge to the proposed maps: 4️⃣ Art. II, §6 requires that "every electoral district shall be composed of contiguous and compact territory." The proposed congressional maps violate this contiguity requirement (rather badly). Next stop, court. Stay tuned.

Allow me to educate you on how Communists operate. Criticize Temu Obama's language all you want, but this right here is what you WANT them saying. They're revealing themselves for the power-hungry Marxist wretches they are. They're telling you EXACTLY what they're about, because the issue is NEVER the issue. The issue is ALWAYS the Revolution. THAT is what Jeffries and the rest of the Democrat Party Machine means in the phrase, "total warfare." And if we're being even more honest, YOU AS A POLITICAL ENTITY ARE NOT BUILT FOR THIS. You are NOT built for total warfare, because YOU still think these Communists can be reasoned with. YOU seem to think these people are equal partners with anyone they don't agree with. Those days are OVER. The Democrat Party Machine do not want to govern anymore. They are now moving to RULING over the masses. And again, you are NOT BUILT FOR THIS.

This is disgusting language unfit for the office that you hold. You’re stealing seats in Virginia because we stopped you from stealing them here in New York. You’re a disgrace.

Democrats just voted to disenfranchise every part of the state that doesn't march lock step in agreement with them. This is the “our democracy” they speak of. One in which the rest of have no part to play except as a tax farm for their policies. Well…I refuse.

I have learned a lot about my fellow Virginians, and I don’t like it. This redistricting has brought out the most ugly hateful side of every person I’ve ever known. Democrats really do hate Trump more than they care about their friends and neighbors. I have been radicalized.

@XPhrone @sixspacedeep @greg_price11 I mean, I just wanted to know which laws they broke (because you said they broke several). I have seen the claim a couple times, never in reference to the actual laws being broke. I don’t understand the question, though. Suspicious in what way? What are we suspecting them of?

Thank you to all the voters who turned out to vote against this egregious power grab. The race was much closer than the left expected because Virginians know a 10-1 map is not Virginia. I urge the Virginia Supreme Court to rule against this unconstitutional process that will disenfranchise millions of Virginians.

I'm not worried except that you don't find a better outlet in life. I'll enjoy my beautiful acreage in VA regardless.

🚨 BREAKING: Virginia voters have PASSED the egregiously Congressional gerrymandering map, expected to give 10 SEATS to Democrats — only 1 seat to Republicans, per DDHQ That means over 90% of Virginia becomes represented by DEMOCRATS, disenfranchising a HUGE swath of the entire state The courts MUST strike this down! FLORIDA must jump in! Their special session is coming up. This is why the GOP must ALWAYS play hardball on redistricting. DON'T BACK DOWN FROM THIS!

@SundanceKidSr @sixspacedeep @greg_price11 Clearly not. It IS meant to imply that legislative processes are lengthy & complicated & you're def not gonna get a specific overview of the ones involved here from an unverified X account (me). You don't think retroactively repealing a law back 50 years is suspicious tho?

@XPhrone @sixspacedeep @greg_price11 Which laws though? Be serious, you don’t care about the technicality of the law. It’s another completely partisan issue. If team maga did it, it’d be peaches and rainbows and “I voted for this” tweets. The race to the bottom is inevitable.

@CurtisHouck @ScottJenningsKY Yet, yet, the RNC/GOP didn't even appear on the field of battle to contest this redistricting. Much like the bought-off nobles in the movie Braveheart, who treasonously rode away when the signal came to enter the fray.

CNN's @ScottJenningsKY on Virginia's Democrat gerrymander: "Virginia had -- literally had the fairest maps in the nation. They had a 6-5 map, six Democrats, five Republicans. In terms of proportional representation, they had the fairest map in the nation. That was drawn, by the way, by an independent commission that the voters asked for just a few years ago. Now they will have the least fair maps in the nation. And I'm not surprised that the yes vote won. They had all the money and all the lies. And sometimes in politics, when you got those two things, you can put something over the line, even something as egregious as this. This whole thing has driven Spanberger's approval ratings down into the toilet. She lied to the people of Virginia. They had to write a ballot question that was a joke. They drew maps that were a joke. Now you're going to have huge chunks of rural Virginia represented by 5 or 6 Democrats who all live in Northern Virginia, within about 15 miles of each other. It's a complete joke. Everybody knows it. And there's a reason that all these national Democrats and all their money came into Virginia, because, you know, they don't really care about the people of Virginia. They just care about power."
