Shooting FULL METAL JACKET at Beckton Gas Works in East London. After serving as one of the largest gas plants in the world for over a 100 years, it was scheduled to be demolished in 1985. @For_Film_Fans That's the film upon which I met Woody. He was filming the flashback scene where he and Mia are in the doctor's office, learning that they can't have kids. Fall of 1984. It remains one of his most satisfying films.
