Western Rite Orthodoxy has zero aura whatsoever. None. There's a reason they make up like .01% of the Orthodox church in America and like .0000001% of Orthodoxy in the world. It looks like an Orthodox Church that was trying to be "relevant" in a time where Catholicism was still strong. It's a relic of a bygone era. Even though they were never overly useful, the ability for their usefulness has now fully passed. The Saints that blessed the Western Rite weren't "wrong" about them at that time, their opinion on them just didn't stand long term.

The Jurisdictionalism of Orthodoxy in America makes me very sad. In my town there are not very many orthodox Christians, maybe 100 and we are split among 3 different parishes. It causes drama sometimes too. Hope this will be solved some day.
