Need a dev that wants to make this map: - will be provided unlimited funds to make it - $2k cash for your pockets - 20% rev split to maintain it - $20k in sponsored will be put into it on release These numbers can be tweaked around as you wish, need a serious dev. fortnite.gg/island?code=91…

I made a web app around 1-2 years ago now to A) easily create item granters and B) export the images for the items used. Was a big help. Surprised this still isn't just a default feature(other than the experimental inventory stuff). Bunch of unnecessary time spent on something so simple.

This is the current workflow I’m dealing with when working with imported weapon images for my central loot system: • Download every weapon image manually • Import them into the project • Rename each one so they’re organized properly • Link each image to the correct item That’s a massive amount of overhead just to use assets that already exist in the Fortnite ecosystem. Once I finish building this system, updates will be simple and efficient within this project, but getting to that point is extremely time consuming. I know new APIs are coming, and I appreciate that progress is being made. But core systems like weapon data, images, and item references should have been accessible from day one. We shouldn’t need the custom item release just to gain API access to images, weapons, and basic asset metadata. These are foundational tools for building scalable, professional systems.

There is zero reason creators should have to manually download textures for existing Fortnite items and weapons just to use them in custom UI. These assets already exist in the game files. Forcing creators to reimport them only increases project size and unnecessary download weight for players. Why are we being required to duplicate assets that are already part of Fortnite? Please consider exposing these item and weapon textures in accessible folders for creators. @FNCreate this would significantly improve workflow and reduce avoidable project bloat.

I do not feel like I'm not programming. In fact, I feel like I am programming more intensely than ever. I'm just not coding.

I got 18M views on YouTube Shorts in 28 days and 28,000 Steam wishlists in 9 days. I'm a solo dev with no audience, no budget, and no publisher. Here's everything I learned about making shorts that actually go viral:

"The future is eveyone just making their own apps as needed!" Surely, Grandma, who last week couldn't figure out which button restarts the laptop, will be able & willing to prompt her own e-mail suite, news site, and more into existence.

Anthropic changed the copy in their Super Bowl ad: Original: Ads are coming to AI. But not to Claude. New: There is a time and place for ads. Your conversations with AI should not be one of them.

made a villager/resource management game for @supercell AI Lab Hackathon this weekend in 20h, pretty fleshed out feature wise. today I was curious how long it would take me to get the same game to a playable state in Roblox after around an hour or two downloading Roblox Studio, setting up the infrastructure to use Claude, I got the game to the same state it was for the hackathon in about another hour the tools we have available today are insane, and this is the worst they will ever be wild times

@neetcode1 best interviews ive had are ones where the interview actually involves the problem space that i'll be working within for that specific job e.g "debug this react component" and there are 4-5 bugs of varying difficulty, or "write a currency management system for a tycoon game"

I get that DSA interviews are pretty flawed, but I would say it's the opposite of gate keeping. The only purpose of an interview is to eliminate false positives, not hire every single person who's good enough. If interviews do change, people will quickly realize the other ways will be just as brutal.
Bojan Tunguz@tunguz

LeetCode style interviews have always been a way for the insiders with BS tech jobs to gatekeep their turf. That’s now patently obvious.

Something massive is happening right now while 150M+ people watch the Super Bowl. Futures going crazy, news cycle is dead quiet, and everyone is COMPLETELY DISTRACTED. Most people have NO IDEA what's about to hit them on Monday...
