The most significant thing about that MANPADS engagement of a Superbug, IMO, is that you don't see any defensive/pre-emptive flare popping. The MAWS just not picking up the incoming to trigger automated release can happen, but it's still SOP to pop flares during ingress/egress.

Neither do the Iranians lol, they launched ZERO missiles at UAE yesterday after 300+ since Feb 28th. Marines have great SHORAD assets, Shaheds wonโ€™t be an issue. They train to take islands in the pacific against a far superior Chinese force (than Iran), we have complete air superiority over the strait itself. Weโ€™re do strafing runs over Bandar Abbasโ€ฆ.

These people are high on crack. Qeshm Island is bigger than Okinawa, which took 3 months, 184,000 troops, and 12,500 KIA to take. And Queshm is in fire control range of countless Iranian missiles and drones dug into cliffs and caves for hundreds of miles back from Queshm on a 270* arc.

So @Cappyarmy appears to confirm my theory that the U.S. Expeditionary Force will invade Qeshm Island instead of Kharg Island, to open the Strait of Hormuz. Secure the airport, land heavy equipment, then invade the mainland, advancing both east & west along the coast of Iran.

@TheDeadDistrict No, some fragments travel sideways backwards unless it's a continuous rod warhead. The visible fiery stuff is not all the fragments. This airframe likely undergoes extended maintenance, probably industry-level maintenance.
