Idk who needs to hear this but San Diego is about 17 miles from Mexico. Have you… looked around our city? Barrio Logan. Chula Vista. National City. Old Town. San Ysidro. Otay. Entire neighborhoods, families, traditions, food, music all woven into the fabric of this place. The new city connect isn’t ‘catering’ to Mexican culture… It’s literally who San Diego is. If that bothers you, you’re not mad at baseball jerseys…you’re mad at reality.

The end of an era: the Padres have released outfielder Joshua Mears, per San Antonio press release. He has incredible power but never made nearly enough contact to make it play. Wouldn’t be surprised if another organization takes a chance on him.

@Madre858 I’m right in the middle of this argument. Looking up statistics on San Diego, our population of the county is 35% Hispanic or Latino. So I get doing the connect jerseys as their culture is by far most influential. HOWEVER, it doesn’t mean every connect jersey has to be.

@roxieflanagan68 I know your initial reaction to the kit isn't great but I think it'll be a hit. The last one didn't take the fanbase by storm at first but we warmed up to it pretty quick.
