That’s why today, CNA is proud to support Bill S-233, legislation that strengthens protections for health-care professionals—especially nurses—so they can provide care safely. Nurses are essential to the health of our communities, and violence in the workplace affects not only the nursing profession but the quality and continuity of care for patients and families. If passed, this bill would be a meaningful step toward addressing the violence and trauma nurses too often face in the course of their work. Ensuring the safety of health-care professionals is a responsibility we all share.
