@taxqueen49 I believe that’s the block they used for Poirot’s flat in the 1990s David Suchet episodes.

@Azeem_Majeed What vaccines are available, will all 18 year olds have had them (I believe one was introduced relatively recently and so not given to this cohort as babies?) and if they are missed can you get them privately?

The tragic death of two university students in Kent shows the seriousness of meningitis. All young people should ensure they are up to date with their vaccines including MenACWY. Awareness of the symptoms of meningitis and prompt treatment are also essential to improve outcomes.

EU entry-exit system. The whole digital borders plan is due to be complete within weeks: 9 April 2026. But confusion abounds, eg: “I’ve registered on a previous trip. Am I fast-tracked next time?” (No) “Can I register my biometrics in advance?” (No) More🔽 independent.co.uk/travel/news-an…

@BarbaraRich_law I was 17 at the time and I remember this all over the news at the time. I have no idea how anyone in the UK could have missed it!

The increase in women’s state pension age from 60 to 65, made by the Pensions Act 1995 and to take effect from 2010 onwards, a 15 year lead in, was widely covered in the media at the time. Absurd for WASPI to claim that they speak for “a huge number of women left in ignorance”

@DanNeidle Agreed. This is what I have written up for @TolleyTax . Spread assets between husband and wife. Incentive to gift to next generation earlier as still no IHT if you survive the seven years.

Hang on tax people, isn't the £1m cap on APR/BPR actually £2m for married couples? Because they can use old style "first death gives £1m to the kids using his £1m exemption; second death gives the rest to the kids, using her £1m exemption". ?

For goodness sake. Despite big tax rises overall chancellor has done it again. Fuel duty frozen and "temporary" 5p cut kept. This government is supposed to care about climate change. And I'm willing to bet fiscal numbers assume increases into the future. How much longer?
