@TTChelps Direction of travel was northbound. The 65 heads south and does a loop through an office building corridor, before heading back north. It sits in the city’s heaviest traffic waiting to turn left, when it could turn left earlier in the same loop, exit, turn right and north.

@_K_Toronto Hi Amy, sorry for the wait. Can you tell me the location and direction of your travels? Also, what time did you start waiting? ^CS

@TTChelps - once again the wait time for your buses in the south corridor is outrageous. One thing that won’t change is the traffic, so why not figure out a better route? Specifically the 65 bus that’s been waiting to turn left for 10 minutes.

@TTChelps there has been zero bus service in the Queens Quay corridor for 40 minutes and now 3 buses just sitting idle “waiting” for their time to leave. Any idea why this is happening?

@dockevinmcleod The real answer is probably so infuriating & convoluted. Canada is such a “no” country. It’s risk adverse and fiscally so conservative at times. Limiting the amount of doctor positions in practice, school, residencies etc is probably “too spendy” according to our policy makers 🙄

Opposition parties could ask the government why they do not ask our universities to do this now so that we can be ready for the match later this year and get these kids training in July 2024. Why this culture of no? It’s to difficult? Could we move to a culture of yes? Be bold.

There are hundreds of Canadians who have completed medical school in countries like Australia, the UK, Ireland. They can’t practice medicine until they complete a residency. While training as a resident they work in our health care system. The value they add is high. The cost is low. Why do we not expand residency positions and get more people working in our system sooner? We could accomplish this for the next batch in July 2024. The minister could tell the universities to make this happen. It doesn’t need to be complicated. When we limit positions to below population needs we create scarcity. Scarcity costs more. Unfortunately many of these kids do training in places like the USA and never come back. This seems ummm short sighted. Why not train them here? Have them work here? Have them pay taxes here? Have them serve their community here?

Getting about 20X number of sellers wanting/needing to sell vs buyers wanting to buy. Sign of more listings coming to the market, than buyers that will absorb them. Let’s see if this halt of rate hikes will bring back buyer confidence.

Note to Justin Trudeau: Young people don’t “feel” like cities don’t want them — cities tell them that over and over again under the guise of concerns about “neighbourhood character” and “potential threats.” nationalpost.com/opinion/sabrin…

Makeover Man calls Trudeau’s announcement a photo op fund. The asshole severely lacks self awareness. But anyway, more importantly, he hasn’t produced a single mathematical funding solution for a housing plan. Not one. And frankly it’s too late because the Liberals already have.

Say what you will about 🇨🇦's prime minister, but over the past 8 year he's aged pretty well. Is the secret not having any deadlines? #ToRe #VanRE

Housing. Housing. Housing. Ontario's next generation should be better off than the last. Hard work should be rewarded with a place to call home. We need serious provincial leadership to deliver affordable housing.
