Mets fans obsession with players playing out of position is ridiculous. The issues fans are talking about are very overblown. Not like the Mets are doing things we've never seen before. And everyone is acting like they are. Has nobody heard of Cal Ripken or Alex Rodriguez? Shortstops who moved to third base. Or what about Rod Carew or Jeff Kent? Second baseman who moved to first base. There are even more modern examples than there are historical examples. This is just a thing that has been done forever. It's becoming obvious a lot of fans aren't baseball fans and are only Mets fans.

It has 3 MLBPA reps and 9 delegates chosen by the league sitting on it. It requires 9 votes to pass rule changes. The players have voted no on every change. They hide this.

@_MetsMetrics @EvanRobertsWFAN @EvanandTikiWFAN Manfred is not making these changes, corporate sponsors are telling the owners to make these changes to make the league more profitable, what manfred has done is implement measures to ensure the players don't get a say in these matters.

It's the one sport without a salary cap I don't get how you could say this. And Manfred has made some pretty large changes you can't say he is doing nothing whether you like the changes or not. But the state of the league is in a better spot than an about a dozen years ago or so. I don't like Manfred but I like him better than the rest.

His inability to back the owners down from stampeding all over player rights is the reason we're going to have a lockout, not a salary cap.
