An @iitbombay and @HarvardHBS degree selling chips. Apparently that's something to be embarrassed about.
An investor recently looked at our Open Secret veggie chips - one of our most successful launches - and asked me exactly that.
I smiled and asked him back - "What are you doing in India thinking about 100-200 million dollars when in the US people are talking about trillion dollar companies?"
He went quiet.
There is no finish line to the rat race.
- You will always find someone richer, more powerful, more credentialed.
- Someone whose life looks better on paper.
- Someone whose definition of success makes yours feel small.
Don't waste your life running someone else's race.
For you to be truly great at something
- You have to go all in.
- You can't half-ass it.
- And you can only go all in on something you genuinely love.
Not the toxic love that looks good on paper. Not the dream that society handed you. Not the version of success that impresses people at dinner parties.
Your true love. The thing that gives you the kick.
Mine is building something that makes a difference.
#Unjunking India's snack time sounds like a small mission until you realise that health is the most basic foundation of a good life. And millions of Indians are being sold junk dressed up as food every single day.
That's what gets me out of bed. That's my race.
Figure out yours.
And run it like nobody else's opinion matters. Because it doesn't.

i never understood how people dream of a job. i couldn’t care less if i’m a freelancer, employee, entrepreneur, or indie hacker.
the point is not to be something but everything. so, in a way, to be nothing.
i wanna be an alchemist so bad. the one who turns metal to gold. turns toxic into a tonic.
takes all the toxins in the world and regurgitates them into something tonic. a tonic that creates real impact on the earth and for fellow humans.
every piece of work i touch should be perfect. i don’t care if it’s writing mails or drafting deals or contracts.
whatever i touch has to be the epitome of perfection.
i love my craft so much, i’d bleed for it.
I might get a lot of hate for this :
I love women in tech who are ambitious and intellectually smart. Gratefully, I know and am friends with some of them.
However,
I hate being around women who are intellectually dumb and do not have dreams to pursue. They just like to play sympathy cards to gather attention.
The human urge to read, to read fiction, to read non-fiction, to read philosophy, to read biographies, to read psychology, to read self-help, to read essays, to read science, to read every-fking-thing!
