Has anyone seen a big uptick in epiglottis in adults the last few months? This used to be so rare and now we’ve had 6 cases, 3 requiring cric, and two with parainfluenza, all within the last 3 months. @DenverEMed @tarangarland @JenelleBadulak @TayBurkholder

@WrayCharles At the end of a long shift, when giving feedback or debriefing, I invite my coresident for a cocktail: apple juice poured over the granular hospital ice cubes. Fixes hypoglycorrhacia and cools the end of shift fires.

When the emeritus faculty shows up to grand rounds and sits there silently judging everybody who says anything

Biden is about to come on shift with 100 in the waiting room, 24 ICU holds, 6:1 nurse ratios, shortages on PPE, dilaudid, haldol, morphine, ativan, ketamine & zofran. And every patient has covid. Oh & the offgoing team stopped seeing pts 4 hrs ago, and left already w/o signout.
