@medmalreviewer We have an ‘MRI spinal survey’ order that runs the entire C/T/L spine as fast or faster than a dedicated specific level MRI. Radiology can sufficiently read for the various cord compression syndromes/pathologies. We try to use this order exclusively now for these cases

@Danimal_MD @DDanovich My general practice in the older adult who is hypotensive (and at risk of hyponatremia) is to start an initial LR bolus of +/- 500cc while waiting for labs and reassessing BP/perfusion/mental status. If no response, pressors until labs return. Then small fluid w/frequent Na chks

But do you treat shock with pressors (instead of volume), and check sodium between small boluses of LR or NS to avoid overcorrection (presuming you have no idea how acute the hyponatremia is)? Or do you just give 30ml/kg crystalloid? @TylerBerliner @DDanovich
